Every human being is living a life, but how much humanity does he have? Birth, education, job, marriage, kids, family and at the end…death! Is this the standard cycle of life that has to be followed? What is the ultimate goal of such a life? Why do we take birth? What do we want? The human body that we have received... should do the duty of being humane. There should be humanity in life. But what is humanity? According to Param Pujya Dadashri, the Gnani Purush (the enlightened One). The definition of humanity is that when someone hurts you, troubles you, you don’t like it. Hence, you should also not hurt anyone. That, according to Him, is the biggest humanity. Whoever understands this and applies it in life means he knows what is humanity. Getting a human body means one is free to go to any is one of the four forms of life (gattis). One is human form, the other three being – animal form, devgatti (heaven/celestial being) and narak gatti (hell/beast form). Whatever are the causes so are the effect. If we show humanity, we will get a human body in the next birth. If we are inhumane, we will be re-born in the animal form. If we are extremely bad and inhumane then we are re-born in narak gatti. If we spend our life in doing good for others and help them without any expectations then we get a life in devgatti. I am a 38-year-old man who once had narcissistic tendencies. I like sharing my experiences, I hope it can help others as it did for me. I have read and watched videos about how horrible a narcissist can be as if we are only capable of abuse and ruining other's lives. I decided now is the time for me to speak up and stand up for other narcissists. How did I recover? I have spent years working on myself to understand my past and my internal wounds, I wanted to see what was a narcissist's fullest potential. Did my personality disorder seal my fate, was I forever doomed with no hope? Eventually, after my slow recovery, I realized that I was afraid to face what I was feeling. I was afraid to feel, this was the reason why I was very selfish. Holding ourselves back keeps us looking back at ourselves so that we avoid how we truly feel. This behavior only keeps us disconnected from others because we avoid paying attention to how others feel. My spiritual practices lead me to experience genuine self-love, unconditional love then compassion for all life. I had no idea that I could reach a state of balance and harmony within. As a powerful empath, I began to see that the result of my inner work moved me to become a lightworker. My book is here to support those who feel lost or misguided by negative ideas. I know that every person has the potential to evolve to experience unconditional love and compassion, only if one genuinely chooses to. I never said that this would be easy because we are who we are. This is my journal based on my spiritual journey going inwards then coming out. I was seeking self awareness. This is not the truth just my truth, because the truth is your own. I write about letting go so that we can become who we are supposed to be. We all have the opportunity to become our greatest selves regardless of our personality flaws. There is a hidden power within all of us, potential energy waiting to be unlocked. I believe that every person has the ability to evolve if one puts their mind into it! My past experiences created many obstacles and challenges. I was bullied used and abused, I also hurt others too. I was drowning from abandonment issues, this is how I developed my narcissistic personality traits. I thought that I could bury my hurt feelings deep inside while I continued to live my life. I used to be full of regret, guilt, envy, shame, grief, and resentment. In 2011 I was somehow pulled into chakras, yoga, and tai chi. I had no idea where spirit was moving me. I have come to realize that I spent most of my life sleeping, this was an eerie feeling. I thought I knew who I was; I saw how my life was just a lie. I was not being the person that I pictured in my mind, it took inner work to become my best self. I needed to challenge my perception of myself and the world outside. I found myself experiencing higher consciousness as I journeyed deeper internally, my external reality was all an illusion, and that the only thing that is true is what’s within. I continued my quest because I wanted to experience spiritual enlightenment. Working on healing my chakras, I began to see how my pain and ignorance was the cause of my attractions and my life’s outcome. I began to see how my low self-esteem, a lack of confidence, and selfishness were ruling my behavior. I once thought that I knew it all and that I was so special. I used to believe that I had many enemies, but I have come to realize that the (inner me) or enemy was I all along. With narcissistic tendencies, I refused to look at my reflection, I was too proud and filled with self-importance. After a few months of practicing Buddhism, including working on self awareness, I began to see my flaws and imperfections. I was surprised by how selfish and self-centered I was towards others. I began to see that other's feelings matter, only because I was able to face my own feelings about myself without condemnation, self-ridicule. I began to see that the world does not revolve around me and that everyone is important no matter how I personally felt. I realized that I am not perfect but I can be my best. I now see that it was never about changing my personality, we can only improve ourselves. I first had to accept that I have flaws too, and that may never change, this took unconditional love.
