Hello to you all and thanks for purchasing my work. These poems were written through my depression and mental illness That I'd been battling in different stages of my life. Most of these poems tell a story of certain situations I’ve been through in my past as a kid, an adult and also right now in the present. So I write to ease my mind, to "write it off" is to "fight it off." That means each poem I've written has helped me defeat my demons. I want to use my experiences in life to help bring awareness of Mental Health. Its okay to ask for help, you're not crazy, you're not broken, you just need a little extra love and patience. Anybody who is reading this right now please help me fix the world by being aware of people who are suffering from depression. What would a crazy man do if the world ended, and became as crazy as him? Would he feel at home? Would it destroy him? Or would he destroy it? I wrote this considering all the other stories about zombie apocalypses, and end of the world crap. But I wrote this from a completely different perspective, and not about the horror of the world around the main character, but inside the horror main character. To the main character, the world had already ended for him, he nothing left but his own bleak, miserable existence. He had already given up on human contact, society, and living like a normal person. The way he was living before and after the apocalypse was identical, carbon copied... except for all the raging, running, madness filled zombies. As the world destroyed itself, the more it makes sense. [mehr]
