Born in Herfordshire, English geographer and clergyman Richard Hakluyt devoted much of his life to preserving the records of all English voyages of discovery and promoting the advantages of exploring and settling North America. While still a schoolboy, Hakluyt visited the law offices of his cousin and saw a large display of geographical materials. He immediately became fascinated with geography. In time he pursued this interest at Oxford University, where later he lectured on geography. Hakluyt was also ordained in the ministry, which enabled him to earn a living while indulging his passion for geography. In 1582 Hakluyt published the first of his four major works, Divers Voyages Touching the Discovery of America and the Islands Adjacent. This work was, in part, propaganda for the English explorer Sir Humphrey Gilbert's doomed voyage to America the following year. Hakluyt next wrote an outline for colonial policy in America, stating some of the advantages of settlement and who should go. Ironically, this work, The Discourse of Western Planting, was not published until 1877. Nonetheless, Hakluyt was instrumental in reviving interest in the settlement of Virginia after the disappearance of the ill-fated Roanoke colony. He was one of the petitioners for the Virginia Company's 1606 grant that resulted in the Jamestown settlement. He also helped plan the East India Company, which colonized India. Hakluyt's best-known work, Principal Navigations, Voyages, Traffiques, and Discoveries of the English Nation, first appeared in 1589, with a second edition published in 1599 and 1600. In 1846, the Hakluyt Society was founded, and it still continues today to publish narratives of early explorations, perpetuating his labors as well as his memory. [mehr]

During his years in Africa, Haggard got acquainted with the Zulu culture. Especially he admired the individual prowess of their warriors: "When death comes, he meets it without fear, and goes to the spirits of his fathers boldly, as a warrior should." Although Haggard himself had been brought up to believe in the superiority of European culture and the Christian religion, he did not condemn the polygamic system of the Zulus, writing that "the Zulu women are much attached to the custom, nor would they as a general rule consent to marry a man who only proposed taking one wife." Haggard himself had an affair with a married woman, Johanna Catherine Ford (née Lehmkuhl); she gave birth to a child who died.
Psychoanalytic interpretations of Haggard's novels have paid much attention to his female characters. Among his devoted reader was Carl Jung, who used the novel She (1887) as an example of anima. According to Jung, the anima is an archetypical form, expressing the fact that a man has a minority of female genes. Haggard's Queen Ayesha is an unmistakable anima type – the ultimate guide and mediator to the inner world. The idea has also connections with the oservations of James Frazer in his classical study The Golden Bough. "How-de-do," whispered Linus as politely as he could, trying hard not to stare.
Swaying dangerously now under the weight of his two colleagues, the First Minister Gobbledygook winked at him. "Top of the mornin' to you, young sir; bet you've never seen the likes of us, have ye, now?"
Linus shook his head silently, never taking his eyes of the whiskered individual closest to his face. That walking stick looked quite capable of poking a human eye out! "What, if I may ask, are you?" Linus felt it was rather difficult holding a polite conversation entirely in whispers. "Are you also noble members of the House of O'Malley?"
"Of course not!" Skinflint said indignantly, his cheeks turning a little pink beneath his white mutton chops.
"Then what exactly are you, if not O'Malley's from Lincolnshire? Gnomes? Pixies?"
"I'll give ye a clue. We're Oirish." Minister Gobbledygook chuckled into his bushy red beard. "As Oirish as rainbows, harps and soda bread." Giggling made him bob his arms slightly up and down, causing an upwards tremor that threatened to undo their pyramid at any moment.

Names of organisms and their Traits
Pyrain - A human like creature, skin colour varies from blue with black strips to green with black stripes depending on the particular race. Hair is crimson red, all Pyrains posses the ability to transform (lit) their hair to flames an instinctive mechanism to suite their habitat. They are purely Omnivores.
Beast - They are carnivorous (feed mostly on Pyrain) lone ranger flying creatures (lords of the air), hunting only at daylight; they live in constant fear of the Moon Soldiers. The Beast appearance looks like a lion accompanied with giant Eagle wings, its posses an armored skin impenetrable to any sort of weapon except that of the Moon Soldiers.
Inn - Small rodents typically resembling diminutive Rats having pointed snouts and small ears but no tail. They are the Monarchs of Venus.
Liputan - A blue to grey social insect living underground in organized colonies, characteristically the females have wings excluding the males, They are extremely fast insects.
Moon Soldiers - A fine luster of moon dust appearing to be men. They are a military unit serving to protect Amity.
Antox - A toxic plant known as the Clingy lady. It grows typically from 30-65 centimeters. Symptoms are generally irritation, pain, swelling of tissues and paralysis. If the mouth or tongue swells, breathing may be fatally blocked leading to death.
Amity - A demi-goddess of the moon.
Other organisms include Giant worms (Ferroworms and Flunaworms), Carnivorous Plants and double headed horned Vipers. [mehr]

A young couple travels by car around a lake in Marshland, within the Portobello coast.
The tour they perform brings them several memoirs about an ancient treasure, supposedly brought there by the Normans when founding a colony in Murtoyland, a small town on the edge of lake Avia.
The treasure hunt begins guided by some old maps the protagonists carry with them.
Although, will they ever reach such a treasure?
During my life as a student, I lived in a shared house – a cottage with doors and windows all the time very well maintained and painted, in a street by the High School. The Landlady outstanding for her waxed floor, and, alas!, if her guests or even her children, put at shoe or a toe, out of carpets inside ways!
To reach our rooms, we had to endeavour through a narrow corridor with access to a staircase, covered by a red plastic carpet.
Our rooms were a sort of tiny little closets which walls leaned to some divans, tables and chairs. At the top of the stairs, in between rooms, the common wardrobe.
By noon, we stood at the school's gate, shaking our heads, nodding, looking at the sad marks obtained in the tests assessed and delivered by our teachers – or cogitating about having been invited during lesson to approach the blackboard. Beautiful object was, no doubt, that black-heavy-slate attached to the wall, looking moreover like a sad night rather than an object made of stone. It was a sort of consolation prize after the small framed slate that we carried along with manuals in Primary School: instead of transporting it, we were, thereby it, carried on during lessons.
After school, by noon, I went home for lunch where I could immediately feel the habitual chickpea-soup-ill-fated smell.
Sitting at the table, eating the bloody chickpea-soup and listening to the news, as Radio Renaissance was all the time tuned up throughout the building. Portobello's news service was usually concerned, about events that just happened to occur abroad. This was followed by a comedy of the preference of our hostess, a woman of dried breasts and feelings who boasted her guests to be anaphylaxis, well treated, very clean and tidy. We were a sort of pets, entrusted by our stupid mums to others of the same resemblance, who, in turn, entrusted us to our teachers.
Our readings and hobbies contained affinities to some techniques used in treasure discovery and excavations, so, as to operate on firm land and underwater, such as the use of diving technique using bottled oxygen and mask.
In my Grammar School year 8, by remarkable coincidence, the nine subjects that comprised the curriculum for that year, were ministered by nine different young female teachers. In the awakening of sexuality, spending the whole day listening to beautiful, well dressed masters, chattering about numeracy and literacy was, indeed, very exciting. Opinions are like flare, which can turn either way: they can spread like wild fire or encapsulate themselves within the bounds of personal integrity, and thus illuminate. I started writing opinions in the year 2008 through my blogs. I admit at times I did go wild with unsubstantiated accusations and surmises, leading to risky speculations and irresponsible opinions. Recently, I published a comprehensive book of my writings entitled "Writings @ Ankur Mutreja", and the present book is a short selection of my opinions presented therein with emphasis on responsible writing. I am an advocate by profession; therefore, most of my opinions have a tint of law; in the first part, the expression is simple; so, it is for lay persons who won’t mind a little exercise of mind in the legal arena; whereas, in the second part, I have gone whole hog with law, and I admit those without formal legal training may find it convenient to ignore. My style of writing is terse and pointed, but at times I have gone overboard like in one particular opinion on Aarushi murder, where emotions and logic intermingled in an expanded narrative. Rights, especially privacy and equality, are my area of focus; therefore most of my opinions herein; i.e., the ones discussing Brain Research, NCTC, Sting Operations, LGBTs, Prostitution, SC/ST quotas, and AADHAR/NPR; are focused on these two areas. In my selection, I have tried steering clear of politics, but politics is nevertheless all encompassing; however, one opinion on tussle between Delhi Police and AAP is majorily political; another political opinion, but with a strong emphasis on law, is the discussion of Zakia Jaffrey case. There were few very big events in the recent past; one amongst them is the Nirbhaya murder, and I have also discussed it, though my take is slightly different: I think the murder has been manipulated by the vested interests. I am a resident of an unauthorized colony; therefore, my opinion on Unauthorized Colonies has found place in the present selection; though I admit had the case been different, I wouldn’t have included it; so please bear with my little bias. Though I have no expertise in international affairs, I have taken a plunge into it albeit within the ambit of my legal training; the topics discussed are Indo-Pak relationship and Julian Assange.Finally, in the second part, I have discussed various judgments and laws. I would recommend anybody to read at least my critique of Aarushi Judgement. Other than that I have critiqued Binayak Sen Judgement and Aruna Shaunbaug Judgement. In the very distant future, a fierce war is being fought between two super-city-states, Ensarian and Imgradon, on the planet Zegandaria over the resources zegandarian kevlarite and interon fuel. The two camps begin the clash lightly as a joke with good intentions much like children, but from a minor dispute and local conflict, it quickly grows and spreads to the entire planet, and later even reaches universal proportions. Many other distant planets such as Sebur Nag and Osonia are also involved. Gradually, all the racial, moral and religious faults in the views of the inhabitants of the planet become apparent, who for some unknown reason cannot coexist. Two brave teams of adventurers race against time in their attempt to stop or at least reduce the hostilities and the never-ending fire of hatred to be extinguished.
All too soon it becomes clear that the further humanity's technological advances have gone, the further behind concepts like friendship and love have been left. Even newborns are implanted with memories selectively, according to what their parents want them to be.
But somewhere deep in the bowels of the planet lurks a third player. He seems almost invisible, but he largely determines the end and the denouement of the whole Armageddon. Little Princess Mieru is also the main villain's doom.
There's no time to waste, and every feeling is all too fleeting - mostly until some random plasma blast blows your skull off. And danger lurks around every corner.
Mark, Sasia, Father, Rat, Grandpa Jack, Sam Wallace, Russell, Durnyam, Mieru, Ennio Hammer, Sergeant Zorin, Rodrigo, Duolors, Becky, Meior, Hilda, Kenji, Neola, Kier Zoh and others represent the various characters and perspectives on the whole changed reality. None of them are wholly good or bad, and sometimes they get to make some pretty weird decisions.
And, of course, there's the redemption moment at the end. The dirty secrets of labor colony 206 and the evil dictator Acustro, who has imprisoned the greatest scientific luminaries on the planet, become the basis for a new beginning. Because maybe everyone's been a little guilty of everything that's been going on.
And the ending is slightly unexpected. Only the most moral survive, and those who have followed their destined path all along. And the culprits are punished! And yet some of them may be forgiven! After the fact! [mehr]
