The Wings of the Dove is a 1902 novel by Henry James. This novel tells the story of Milly Theale, an American heiress stricken with a serious disease, and her effect on the people around her. Some of these people befriend Milly with honorable motives, while others are more self-interested. Kate Croy and Merton Densher are two betrothed Londoners who desperately want to marry but have very little money. Kate is constantly put upon by family troubles, and is now living with her domineering aunt, Maud Lowder. Into their world comes Milly Theale, an enormously rich young American woman who had previously met and fallen in love with Densher, though she didn't reveal her feelings. Her travelling companion and confidante, Mrs. Stringham, is an old friend of Maud. Kate and Aunt Maud welcome Milly to London, and the American heiress enjoys great social success. With Kate as a companion, Milly goes to see an eminent physician, Sir Luke Strett, because she's afraid that she is suffering from an incurable disease. [mehr]

Charlotte Mary Yonge began writing in 1848, and published during her long life about 160 works, chiefly novels.Her first commercial success, The Heir of Redclyffe (1853), provided the funding to enable the schooner Southern Cross to be put into service on behalf of George Selwyn. Similar charitable works were done with the profits from later novels. Yonge was also a founder and editor for forty years of The Monthly Packet, a magazine (founded in 1851) with a varied readership, but targeted at British Anglican girls (in later years it was addressed to a somewhat wider readership). PROLOGUE: Queen Rebecca and her husband didn’t have a child to take over the king when they departed, but something incredible happened to the king and queen were praying to God to give them a child. Finally, God heard their prayer, so the queen was now delivering a baby girl. Now after the deliverance, the queen died. Simon was even sadder when his wife died, but very happy at the same time. Simon named his little Princess Rebecca to remember his wife on it who had departed. Rebecca short for Reba is the Princess of Epicenter forest or Bluebell that what you can call because the huge Palace with it's the tallest wall is built of painted blue bricks. They were a lot of handsome and male doves from the wealthiest background, however, the Dove Princess wasn’t interested in them. All she wants is another male especially human teen for outdoor. Unless on her sixteenth birthday, her father permits her to go into the nearby humans' village but came back disappointed because she couldn’t find any human there in the village. Few days, as passed when something super marvelous occurred when a twenty-two years old boy wandered into their homeland before the Palace. Who could the boy be?
