Stevie,
Sentence by sentence, you draw the reader in. Whatever caused the destruction of the earth is unclear, although you allude to ozone/chemicals and plants dying. Without making it clear, the reader wonders what exactly caused the earth's demise. Perhaps if we continue in our neglect of the planet, this will be the inevitable result. It draws us in and makes us think. The picture is bleak. There was a mad scramble to leave the planet as one would expect and politics and power determined who would be rescued. yet you show the humanity in Will and his grandfather and hope for survival for the stranded few as they are given appropriate help in a space station. For the time being there is hope.
Great story building. If you ever take this story to completion I will definitely read the book. Excellent work. I’ve given you my vote and a well deserved star.
