For those of you who have made remarks about the theological aspect of Rob's story, I am truly surprised. My gut feeling is that it was written tongue-in-cheek, and not meant as a declaration of his religious beliefs. It was supposed to be "amusing" and offbeat.....and it was. So I would not get too tangled up about "Andrew".
P.S. It is also my opinion that we are judging work on the basis of writing ability, story/plot, and the ability to surprise us. Rob's story did all of this, whether or not we are of the same mind regarding "God".
Being a christian and a believer in one True God, I had mixed feelings about your story. But because I love fantasy and your piece is well written...I voted.

I am no church going person. But I was raised going to church and I've got so many personal experiences that I know God exists. This really made me think especially the first point you recite about the bible saying that thou shall not pray to any other Gods before him. It truly makes one think. This story got my vote. Very good imagery and I felt as if I were right there.
I absolutely loved this. You have taken the typical apocalypse and turned it into something unique and fabulously different. Unlike many stories, which are difficult to hold one's attention, I read slowly, savoring every line. You are full of imagination and, trust me, with some work, you could lengthen this and turn it into a published work. Well done and congratulations.
I enjoyed the twist you gave to the story. i feel that you could deliver this into a full novel./good job./joeparente
Love it. Blew my mind a little lol. I have to think about it.
Your idea is great, original, and scary in the same time. Toward the end it feels like you rush it a bit. I can see this piece evolving in a wonderful book.
Great job!
