Hey, Charlie, douglas over here. I read the Stormy night ride. A short and inclusive study of how one's emotions can choose the wrong path.
The aliens are landing was good in my opinion because you took an alll too reall potential -- like foreign objects found in a Lucky Dog come to mind -- and you brought the Alien --HUMAN -- qualities to a sunny day at a park carnival. Bradburyesque qualities are pleasing to me; the juxtaposition of human problems endured and confronted by alien beings.
You have it seems an enjoyment for words and setting up scenes and it is as I thought it would be, a pleasure to read what you have to say, you sly young dog! Willl read more later and thankyou again for ensuring I would find your work and turning me onto this website. I like it! Douglas

I remember sitting at the corner of the bar in the Barrel when you first told me this story, and how shocked I was. You're one twisted old man at times, you know that?? But this is one of my favorite stories ever written, and I am so glad you shared it with everyone!

Great twists at the end are the life blood of Flash Fiction. This story has a brilliant twist at the end. Some of the main story could do with tweaking here and there but overall I enjoyed it, a good read. Well done.
