Today's your journey is through

“There are two kinds of folks who sit around thinking about how to kill people: psychopaths and mystery writers.”
― Richard Castle

“As a writer, I can think of no greater terror than confronting a blank page, except perhaps the terror of being shot at.”
― Richard Castle, Naked Heat

“I really am ruggedly handsome, aren't I?”
― Richard Castle, Heat Rises

I've been shot at. Blank Pages are scarier.

Absolutely. An abundance of verses command killing those whose beliefs are different, who do not follow the laws of Islam. Not only killing, but the rather gruesome suggestions as to how to kill. It also advocates lying in order to deceive those they call "non-believers" in... mehr anzeigen

Omg, omg if it's about that I don't have anymore curiosity in their religion, I had added their book in my reading list... but I will remove it, with this book my way of seeing the world will be changed... so far it reminds me for the film "Knock, Knock".

For real.

I really didn't find anything that needed fixing - both books are extraordinary. Your insights and ability to express them are excellent. I hope some of our other members in your age group read these and see what a book by a real writer looks like. ')

This is just...the most amazing comment I've gotten in a long time. So thank you so much. I was beginning to forget why I started writing in the first place, and to have people like you leave these comments always reminds me that it's because I have a story to tell and I want to tell it.

sasha

florida is nice . but NEW YORK, did you ever think its a waste to move? or.

judycolella

As much as I loved Manhattan, it's too expensive to live there as a single person, never mind be able to afford raising a family. Also, I love the heat, and New York in winter is...brrrr! I mean, I would start to feel icy cold in October, and the cold wouldn't leave my bones... mehr anzeigen

That's okay - I totally get the long day thing, lol. And sorry if my reply was a bit harsh. My reaction was kinda for the same reason. ')

By the way, I love Star Wars fanfic! The characters you've written seem cool, and right in line with George Lucas' characters. I'll be adding... mehr anzeigen

I wrote my books 1 million years A.B.Y. (After the Battle of Yavin) so it wouldn't run into the Star Wars timeline so I put mine ahead that way my books wouldn't run into anything they were working on.

Smart! That gives you a whole lot of leeway. I'm really looking forward to reading them. Have you read all the new-generation Jedi novels about the twins and all that?

Eric Johnson

I got a few books into the New Jedi Order but it got boring so I started working on my own thing. I wanted more action and less drama so I wrote a sample chapter on MySpace in '04 and got hundreds of comments telling me they wanted more. My first book, Infinite Darkness needs to... mehr anzeigen

Your book "Strachana" is the first thing I see when I log into Bookrix and each time I see it I smile and feel like crying. It reminds me that there is hope on this site in so many ways. That through all the spam of persons asking for girlfriends and boyfriends, you can still rely on persons out there to offer you a helping hand.

You helped me achieve one of the most important thing I was wishing to accomplish and that was to... mehr anzeigen

Primrose's words are inspiration enough. I think it's easy to forget how every interaction we have with others has an effect. The way we interact will help determine whether that effect is positive or negative. But we can't forget the flip side to that - refusing to interact... mehr anzeigen
