Hello, Nisha. Welcome to BookRix. From what I've been seeing, I have to guess you are unfamiliar with how this website works, so I'd like to help you out.
First, when someone welcomes you or says hello, it's really kind of rude not to respond in a personal way but only ask the person to read your book. We're a community of writers here, and as someone who has been a member for several years, I can assure you that this is a great place to not only learn how to improve as a writer, but also to forge friendships. You're missing out on all that if all you do is post the same request for your book to be read over and over and over. What happens, is people think you just want to promote yourself and have no interest in actually becoming a part of this community. I'm sure that isn't the case, but that you simply don't know how this site works. That's why I'm explaining it - I'd like very much for you to get the maximum benefit from all BookRix has to offer.
Second, many, if not most, of the members here belong to multiple groups, especially the older, more established and popular ones like "Serious Writers," "New Writers," "The Reading List," "Book Promotions" and "Writer's Chat." When you post the same message in every one of those, all of our in-boxes get totally flooded with your message, making it difficult to get to anyone else's message. One posting is enough, since it will get to everyone anyway. We don't need the same message repeated - that might work in the world of national advertising, but here it is only seen as spam and is very annoying. I seriously doubt that was your intention, so I'm giving you a heads-up. What will happen, is that people will get so irritated, they'll refuse to look at your work, which is pretty much the opposite of what you were hoping for.
Which brings me to the next point - if someone take the time to read your story and then leave a comment, you should answer that person. You don't have to like what was said or agree with their critique, but at least give the person the courtesy of a reply. After all, it take time to both read and comment in a meaningful way on someone else's work. And yes, I'm talking about me here, but others may comment, too, and if you keep deleting comments without warning or saying anything, after a while you'll be totally ignored.
Finally, if you want people to know you're here, the best way to do that is to read THEIR stories and leave comments. They'll probably "friend" you and go see what you've written. That will save you a whole lot of time since you'll get reads without doing all that posting to request it.
I'm sorry this is so long, but I'm trying to help you become a part of the site so your experience here is a great one. We're all working on our skills and unlike the writers on so many other author websites, pretty much none of us think we're so great that we can't use some helpful criticism from our peers. I really hope you didn't delete my comment because you thought your story needed no correction and were offended that I offered suggestions to make it better. No one is that good. However, that may not have been what happened, and you may have deleted it by mistake - that sometimes happens with new members because the way the site works takes a little getting used to.
I'm a published author, and over the years have learned some very helpful things about writing, getting published, and marketing your work. I'd be happy to help you in any way I can, because as I said in my comment, you have a lot of potential to be a great writer.
Warm regards,
Judy Colella
