Alex burrows herself in neglect and packed lunches as she works herself through the last year of middle school.
Throughout her time of thinking, she comes up with a bucket list of things she wants to do. And one of them involves having a boyfriend.
Even though she's the normal kind of kid, she still somehow seems to bloom in on the cliff's edge at a regular life.
And her parents, away most of the time, leaves just Alex and her aunt.
But then everything shifts as she finally realizes her bucket list may be coming to life.
From there, stuff keeps getting better but also worse.
