English is a tough language, even for those born to it. Knowing this, I read the story for its content and continuity, its plot, characters and heart. That's where all great stories begin, after all.

You've written a compelling story line with a beginning that captures the interest of your readers immediately, and impels them to continue into the subsequent chapters. The main character, Vinier, is instantly three-dimensional and likable, her nasty step-sister the perfect blend of typical mean girl and not worth anyone's time. Leaving her wallowing in her annoying smugness at the start and rendering her irrelevant once her bit is done is the perfect way to handle such a character - and an object lesson for real life.

As the story jumps ahead, you've reintroduced conflict soon enough after what seems like a happy ending to pull the story back onto the fast-track, once again grabbing the readers and pulling them back to the edge of their seats.

The language issues can be easily fixed, since they are few, but the fact that the story itself shines past the glitches speaks loudly of how talented you are.

The story is good. You might consider pairing up with a friend and going over your chapters one at a time and asking for help with the grammar. But otherwise, I like the story.

I think you have a good idea that will reach out to a younger audience and give them a chance to like your characters. My only issue was the spelling and grammar made it a little hard to follow. Editing is a pain I've had to edit mine 6 times now but it's an important part of the story. *thumbs up * I'd like to see this refined and more work into the characters.
