Co writing a children's book is not as easy as it sounds and almost impossible unless you have " the mind of a child".

By this I don't mean "infantile", for it is difficult for an adult to "imagine" how a child thinks.

A child will believe almost anything. I mean the six- to nine- year olds.

They have a vivid (to say the least) fantasy which surpasses by far any adult's.

You can add to the narration as much as you want and if you know of a child (10 plus) who can help with the dialogue then start the ball rolling with Jennifer telling her six-year-old brothers to behave themselves while she goes to school, and do as (invalid) mummy tells them. It is the last day before the summer holidays. Tell how her teacher makes her stay behind after class because she pushed the bully into a patch of mud for pulling her hair.

You quite unintentionally and in all innocence "stole" the theme about the "woman waiting" out of my head.
