It's funny how nearly everyone I meet here in the UK tries to say something in german and then excuses for his rusty spelling. I always enjoy see people trying at least.:)
yeah it's really frightening what huge influence the fashion industry has on us, I hope you're over it now!
To customize your background you have to go to 'profile settings'->'edit my profile' and then you can choose from different templates or upload one of your own images that you'd like to use. I hope that was helpful.
