About human rights violations in the Writers Union of Romania

The Writers Union of Romania is a dictatorial and undemocratic organization. During the mandates of the current president, there were excluded ten times more writers than during the whole communist regime of Nicolae Ceausescu. A group of 31 obedient writers modified the Statute of the Union, which previously limited the number of mandates for administrative functions to 2, to allow the current president and his team to keep the power and lead the organization for life. All those that opposed the modifications were excluded, without hearings and without the possibility to express their views, being thus refused the fundamental right to self-defense. In despair, a group of dissident writers made appeal to several legal procedures, and as a consequence at this stage there are a significant number of legal cases opened in the courts of Romania, aiming at re-stabilizing the lawfulness of the organization. Without waiting for the final ruling of the Courts of Justice, judging instead of them and in despise of them, the administration of the Writers Union of Romania excluded those that appealed the courts, who were thus refused the fundamental right to justice. In a solidarity movement without precedent even under the communist regime, tens of writers have publicly requested, through memorandums and open letters, to be excluded from the Writers Union of Romania.

The Government of Romania did not exercise during the last 25 years its legally established obligations to inspect and control the Writers Union of Romania, although the organization receives financing from the state budget. The Government of Romania is sustaining the flagrant violation of the human rights and democratic principles, by financing with public funds, without any control and any transparency of the spent, publications which are instruments of propaganda of the totalitarian administration of the Union. In these publications, only the points of view accepted by the current administration are exposed, the dissident writers being censured, interdicted and exposed to aggressive campaigns of disgrace and to public execution, by administrations mercenaries paid with public funds. In this way, the dissident writers are being denied, with the complicity of the Government of Romania, the fundamental right to freedom of opinion and expression.

Under the current administration, the Writers Union of Romania has resigned from any form of respect for values. Maintaining a miserable confusion of values and promoting mediocre writers, both internally and internationally, as repay for their obedience, the organization has disgraced the Romanian literature.

You must know that any proposals made by the Writers Union of Romania, both internally and internationally, mean lies, manipulations and hidden interests. The real values of the Romanian literature are excluded, censured, prosecuted and interdicted. It is gone so far that the young writers of Romania refuse to join the Union, considering the membership as a shame. These things have to be revealed, otherwise we become their accomplices.

It's raining heavily in my laboreour's Germany it is Sunday and foreigners are quietly resting with some beer held in their large & full of scars hands there in our improbable wonders I come to talk to them when a bumblebee lost and drenched also comes on dry ground marching through our feet when one of us turns him on his back he is buzzing he is drying his wings and I say "let him go man" and "es ist nur ein Waser Probleme" ;)

So, I read one of your books and saw these comments that were like "worst book ever" and that kind of stuff. I personally thought it was good, and people are just being kind of mean to you and that makes me feel bad as a bystander. So, I actuallg thought your book was good, even if they didn't.
