Over a two year period of intensive studies in the LDS Scriptures (Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, Pearl of Great Price) I came to appriciate a journal of personal insights, inspirations and thoughts. Die King Follett predigt wurde am 07. Apr. 1844 von Joseph Smith jr. (Präsident der Kirche Jesu Christi der Heiligen der Letzten Tage) im Rahmen einer Generalkonferenz, kurz nach dem Beerdigungsgottesdienst von Elder King Follett gehalten. Joseph Smith starb nicht einmal 3 Monate später, als er 27. Juni 1844 vom aufgebrachten Pöbel ermordet wurde. In dieser Rede behandelt Joseph Smith das Wesen und die Herkunft Gottes, erläutert den Ursprung der menschlichen Seele (Intelligenz) und zeigt deren unermessliches Potenzial auf. Außerdem werden interessante theolgische Aspekte abgehandelt, wie die Schöpfung, die Taufe, die unverzeihliche Sünde und weitere Lehren bezüglich der Auferstehung. [mehr]
