“Adventures of Poe the Cat” is the third book in the trilogy of fairy tale poems for children, following earlier published books “Chimes and Rhymes for Grown-ups, to be read to Children” and “Abracadabra: Children Bedtime Stories”.
The Poetry Universe is a forum for poets and writers on Facebook, created in 2014. Members include experienced poets and beginning poets stepping into the poetry community. Our authors span the globe, and some poems are translated into English to reach a wider audience.
My goal, as the forum’s founder, was to create a group whose spirit consists of total writing freedom and the widespread wings of the universe of thought. We are all trying to advance our poetic skills, visiting the furthest dimensions of Earth and the universe with our poetic pen, the starship doing wonders. Freedom and the wings of the Universe, its unfathomable tides, its enchanting veils, whether of time or love or anything else, are number one in what is guiding this group. The spirit of the Poetry Universe forum is aptly represented in its member’s entries. Poems are written across a broad range of subjects as well as in various styles of prose, and originate from all around the world.
One aspect of the forum is our “challenges”, which have become very popular. After several challenges specifically designed to create poetry for young readers, we devised the idea of publishing books of children’s poems that would also delight parents. And thus, “Chimes And Rhymes For Grownups” was the first book with fairy tales born and followed by another one, “ Abracadabra: Children Bedtime Stories”, with as enchanting fairy tales and many more drawings that can attract children’s creativity. “Adventures of Poe the Cat” is the third and final book in the trilogy. Growing up, one constanly experiences various emotions, encounters, and changes as well. In a quest to share my story, thoughts on different aspects of life, i got the inspiration to pen down this body of art, the finnest I could come up with. These poems I have compiled into, 3 poetry collective books with Stellar Youth being the lead release. Stellar Youth, stands out with two words; Stellar (Wonderful) and Youth (since i wrote these poems in my teenage years).
It is a balanced collection of soul-wrenching prose, and light inspirational poems, with some that are romantic, satirical, informative, philosophical at the same time. On "My Lost Valentine", i tell a story of an aged couple, in the case where one member of the pair had passed on, and on their anniversary, the partner alive expresses the emotions in words as written in the poem; for her late husband. I also have a message for all dreamers in the "Clear Air' poem. I also show off the love and pride i take in my father in the "My Precious Father" poem. And being a young man, i constantly had so many crushes, one of the pieces i wrote about one of those experiences was; "Dear Crush", "Geek In Love" and "I Was A Tenant" among others. Not forgetting the woes of unrequited love at times. So, the poems are like letters from my heart to you.
I had promised my very good friend, that i was to drop it back then in November 2017 but I wasn't able to, since i was still in the creative process. This right here is a set of my finest pieces of poetry work.
About the cover, i chose Red roses to represent the love, happiness (highs in my life), that inspired some of the pieces whereas the dark (black and white) represented the low lights (losing loved ones, unrequited love, sickness, thoughts about the so many unanswered questions)I went through. The Satyricon is a Latin work of fiction in a mixture of prose and poetry. It is believed to have been written by Gaius Petronius Arbiter, though the manuscript tradition identifies the author as a certain Titus Petronius. As with the Metamorphoses of Apuleius, classical scholars often describe it as a "Roman novel", without necessarily implying continuity with the modern literary form. The surviving portions of the text detail the misadventures of the narrator, Encolpius, and his lover, a handsome sixteen-year-old boy named Giton. Throughout the novel, Encolpius has a hard time keeping his lover faithful to him as he is constantly being enticed away by others. Encolpius's friend Ascyltus (who seems to have previously been in a relationship with Encolpius) is another major character.
Of the many masterpieces which classical antiquity has bequeathed to modern times, few have attained, at intervals, to such popularity; few have so gripped the interest of scholars and men of letters, as has this scintillating miscellany known as the Satyricon, ascribed by tradition to that Petronius who, at the court of Nero, acted as arbiter of elegance and dictator of fashion. The flashing, wit, the masterly touches which bring out the characters with all the detail of a fine old copper etching; the marvelous use of realism by this, its first prophet; the sure knowledge of the perspective and background best adapted to each episode; the racy style, so smooth, so elegant, so simple when the educated are speaking, beguile the reader and blind him, at first, to the many discrepancies and incoherences with which the text, as we have it, is marred. The more one concentrates upon this author, the more apparent these faults become and the more one regrets the lacunae in the text. Notwithstanding numerous articles which deal with this work, some from the pens of the most profound scholars, its author is still shrouded in the mists of uncertainty and conjecture. He is as impersonal as Shakespeare, as aloof as Flaubert, in the opinion of Charles Whibley, and, it may be added, as genial as Rabelais; an enigmatic genius whose secret will never be laid bare with the resources at our present command. Charles John Huffam Dickens (/ˈtʃɑrlz ˈdɪkɪnz/; 7 February 1812 – 9 June 1870) was an English writer and social critic. He created some of the world's most well-known fictional characters and is generally regarded as the greatest novelist of the Victorian period.[1] During his life, his works enjoyed unprecedented popularity, and by the twentieth century he was widely seen as a literary genius by critics and scholars. His novels and short stories continue to be widely popular.[2][3]
Born in Portsmouth, England, Dickens was forced to leave school to work in a factory when his father was thrown into debtors' prison. Although he had little formal education, his early impoverishment drove him to succeed. Over his career he edited a weekly journal for 20 years, wrote 15 novels, five novellas and hundreds of short stories and non-fiction articles, lectured and performed extensively, was an indefatigable letter writer, and campaigned vigorously for children's rights, education, and other social reforms.
Dickens sprang to fame with the 1836 serial publication of The Pickwick Papers. Within a few years he had become an international literary celebrity, famous for his humour, satire, and keen observation of character and society. His novels, most published in monthly or weekly instalments, pioneered the serial publication of narrative fiction, which became the dominant Victorian mode for novel publication.[4][5] The instalment format allowed Dickens to evaluate his audience's reaction, and he often modified his plot and character development based on such feedback.[5] For example, when his wife's chiropodist expressed distress at the way Miss Mowcher in David Copperfield seemed to reflect her disabilities, Dickens went on to improve the character with positive features.[6] His plots were carefully constructed, and Dickens often wove in elements from topical events into his narratives.[7] Masses of the illiterate poor chipped in ha'pennies to have each new monthly episode read to them, opening up and inspiring a new class of readers.[8]
Dickens was regarded as the literary colossus of his age.[9] His 1843 novella, A Christmas Carol, is one of the most influential works ever written, and it remains popular and continues to inspire adaptations in every artistic genre. Set in London and Paris, his 1859 novel, A Tale of Two Cities, is the best selling novel of all time.[10] His creative genius has been praised by fellow writers—from Leo Tolstoy to George Orwell and G. K. Chesterton—for its realism, comedy, prose style, unique characterisations, and social criticism. On the other hand Oscar Wilde, Henry James and Virginia Woolf complained of a lack of psychological depth, loose writing, and a vein of saccharine sentimentalism. The term Dickensian is used to describe something that is reminiscent of Dickens and his writings, such as poor social conditions or comically repulsive characters.[11] [mehr]

This book is fascinating and moving, an exotic love story however contorted the love. New Pearl was there all along, the alter-ego lying in wait to be discovered after the honeymoon.
