Niloy Chowdhury is one of the famous businessmen of the city. there is no one to speak for you. suddenly he loses his family in an accident .son of Tanima's childhood friend. Tanima agreed to the proposal. This did not agree with it. After a while, when I regained consciousness, I opened my eyes a little and felt as if my whole body was asleep. I couldn't get up. The sound became louder when he saw the scars on the animal's name. If you shout a hundred times, no one will be able to hear this cry. Going. After about 1 hour, he came out of the washroom. Nilay then fell asleep. He came out of the room, found the prayer room, performed ablution and performed the prayers. He recited the Holy Quran with his hands and kissed it Dil. He raised his hands in the court of Allah and shed tears. It is the only place of peace in the world. where all the sorrows and griefs of the mind can be removed Meanwhile, Nilay wakes up and realizes that Tahin is not by his side. The whole body seems to be burning with anger at not seeing Tahin. Another thought filled his mind. He left the room with a t-shirt on. Seeing Tahin going down the stairs, Tahin is lying on the sofa with his eyes closed. This time Nilay left the hop and went to the kitchen. He went to the kitchen and brought a bucket of water and threw it on Tahin. It will continue Husband torture Episode: 2 Nilay went to the kitchen and brought a bucket of water and threw it on Tahin. Tahin screamed in panic and stood up. his whole body was wet. Suddenly he could not imagine that the ventricle would do such a thing. There is nothing human in him. There is nothing to do with the water in winter. He wants to slap the ventricle in anger. He understood what it was like to pour a bucket of water on his head. He stopped his anger by thinking about his mother taking one step towards the ventricles. The anger at the tip of Tahin's nose was a little too much which is why Tanima always told him.don’t indulge in anger. because anger comes from the devil. so don’t do anything on the head of anger. which leads to bad results. Then let out a tear and said to Nilay, Why are you doing this to me.? What are you punishing? When the word rang in his ear, a shadow of anger appeared on his face. with a smile of contempt. Where did I do, I just woke up Maharani. It all started, I don't know if there is something called breakfast in the morning. I want breakfast in 5 minutes. The ventricle throws the bucket from the hand to the floor. The bottle breaks and breaks into pieces. This gets up in fear. Tahin went to the kitchen wet without changing. shivering in winter, then Nilay did not let him change. he could not find anything but the noodles at hand. 10-15 minutes to make noodles So it will take, never in 5 minutes .. then tried to cook very fast with the shivering body. new in this house. It will take a while to get acquainted with everything. before Nilay used to do everything. but one day before the wedding Nilay said goodbye to everyone. Nilay is ready and has not come down yet, I got some more time for that. After a while, I heard Nilayer's voice and quickly put the bowl full of noodles and copy on the table. Nilay smiled and talked to someone on mobile When he saw Tahin, he stopped smiling, put his mobile on the drawing table, took the bowl of noodles in his hand, put a spoon in his mouth and threw it on the floor along with the bowl. He threw her on the floor. Tahin slipped in fear, Niloy got up from the chair and grabbed Tahin's hair. You didn't do it on purpose, You are taking revenge on me.? This is a true story that I wrote from the bottom of my heart. I had a wonderful childhood until my father decided to have an affair with another woman. Our entire family was in shambles…not to mention how heartbroken I was because I was a daddy’s girl. We finally had to move to the projects because that was all my mother could afford. Talk about going from riches to rags. I remember crying myself to sleep every night. I started hanging around with the wrong type of people and getting into a lot of trouble, eventually doing time in a state penitentiary. I was calling out for love, I really was not a bad person, in fact, I was always quiet and shy.
Life can be a hard journey. I did not have much of a childhood, or perhaps I've
blocked a lot from my memory. But by the age of fifteen I was all grown up. I
had to make decisions for myself; admittedly, some were not very good. Looking back, it didn't take all that long before I came to the end of my rope, but once I got there I
turned around. I grabbed on as tight as I could, and soon I was pulling myself up,
one grip at a time. And I've made a lot of changes in my life since then, mostly to
make it a better one.
The first time that I rubbed my nose against a tiny fawn‘s nose, it changed me forever.
Looking back, I wish I might have been a little smarter concerning my career
choice because I would have loved to be a veterinarian. But life can throw you
curves, and I've learned to make the best of every day. And the day I held that
warm, soft Guinea pig in my arms made me feel happier than I'd ever been. Happy
deep down inside where it matters the most.
The day eight years ago when we bought our “ranch”, I realized just how much
I loved animals—all kinds of animals—and how much it meant for me to have
them around me. I developed a piece of raw land into a working ranch and it
was a lot of hard work, pulling weeds, putting in a fence line, and building pens
for the animals we purchased from a local auction. And it was worth it, because,
as I said, I love all animals of every kind, each with its own special interests and
personality. I can spend endless hours just relaxing and watching them run and
play with one another. We have thirty-seven animals on the ranch right now, and I
love each and every one with all my heart. Most of them were adopted, saved from
horrible situations, and still need lots of love and attention. Eventually, living with
us, they come around and forget their past lives of neglect and abuse. Our animals
live their entire lives on our ranch. They live to be very old and die of natural
causes—the way it’s meant to be.
This heartwarming story pays tribute to my lasting love affair with animals small and large. Over the years, I have adopted abused, neglected, or unwanted animals and cared for them on my Florida ranch. I developed a set of beliefs about the human relationship with animals, and I have come to realize that each creature has a distinct personality, a warm heart, passion and even a sense of humor. I operate on the firm belief that every animal, whether an unfriendly cat, lame pig, or a blind cow, needs to love and be loved.
I was a pure-bred city girl, until I discovered how animals could soothe my soul and enhance my life. Since then, I have made it my mission to provide shelter and love for animals of all kinds, including cats, dogs, pigs and even cows.
I believe that every animal has a right to live—and live well. I respect their
wishes and they respect mine in return. It is out of this deep respect that I say that
animals are not toys; they have feelings and hearts beating inside them just the
way we do. And it is from animals that we receive unconditional love.
I know, because it is their love, total and unconditional, that changed my life
forever.

The path of Melanie Higgins Zysk’s journey through life is the very
definition of “circuitous”…
After her parents divorce when she’s just a little girl, Zysk, her mother, and

Foreword
Life can be a hard journey. I did not have much of a childhood, or perhaps I've
blocked a lot from my memory. But by the age of fifteen I was all grown up. I
had to make decisions for myself; admittedly, some were not very good ones. It
wasn’t that I believed I was a bad person. I just made some bad choices about
some people and some of the things that I chose to do. Looking back, it really
didn't take all that long before I came to the end of my rope, but once I got there I
turned around. I grabbed on as tight as I could, and soon I was pulling myself up,
one grip at a time. And I've made a lot of changes in my life since then, mostly to
make it a better one.

Night was cold and wind was blowing with sound that can frighten ears. I and my wife were travelling in Himalayas. There was no sign of any life there. Roads were so narrow that car was driven at 20 km. We were talking to each other and planning about next day suddenly both of the car head light went off. I immediately stopped the car and was thinking of what happened. I told my wife to relax as she was frightened to see what happened. I got out of the car and asked her to stay inside. That was the first time realize the hilly region which we enjoyed the whole day is so dull and full of fear. It was completely dark and I was not able to see my wife sitting in the car also. She was again and again asking me to come back inside; she was frightened of wild animals that roam around there in search of food. I came back inside and tried to turn on the parking light but nothing was working at all. There might be a problem with the light circuit I told my wife who was mum and could not speak anything. It was 1 am and the whole night was left, I was also worried that our car is standing in the middle of the road and somebody can hit us. I again went outside to see the road end, in the silence realize that a river was flowing down below and the sound was so low that realize that we are very high from it. I came back inside the car and asked my wife to take some sleep as we cannot move till morning. We locked the door and sat inside. We were hearing different sound coming from the deep jungle which was not good at all. The night was not passing by and the temperature was going down and down. I asked my wife to go behind and have some sleep but she was not ready to leave me at all. 2 am I asked my wife to stay there as I need to go for a Lou. I unlocked the door and went outside again. As soon as I went beside the car I was frightened to see a lady sitting just beside the back door and watching me. My whole body was white and I could not move my legs, as I have heard many ghostly stories about people who die in road accidents in mountains. My wife asked me what happened and told to come inside. I held my breath and came back inside. I was shivering with fear and my wife was seeing me asking what happened. I saw the back window and that lady hand were placed on the glass of the window. I could not react and told my wife nothing happened. I could see the hand from the front mirror but was not looking behind because I could not. I Believe in god but never prayed, I knew something is about to happen and we both could not do anything about it. I was praying in my mind that whatever it was should leave us that time realized how much important our life is and about my wife who was more afraid of all these things and if I tell her about the lady she will not be able to wait till morning and will ask me to drive. I stopped looking into the mirror and was sitting there without speaking anything. My wife kept on asking me what happened. She was curious to know as she never saw me like that. We sat there for sometime and I again decided to look into the mirror. I took a deep breath and saw this time nothing was there and I felt relaxed but it was for just for few minutes. This time my wife asked me that she wants to go out to get fresh. The moment she said to me and I immediately refused because I knew something is there and how important she was for me. She kept on insisting that she will take just 2 minutes. After sometime I agreed but told her to wait inside as I wanted to check the place. I not at all wanted to get out of the car but I had to, I opened the door and went outside. This moment was more horrifying and worst experience of my life. I looked around but nobody was there. I called my wife out. She was out with me in cold now. After sometime we came back inside and I was happy that we are safe now. This time we felt that car was getting cozy inside. Temperature was not so cold we felt that we were sitting in front of heater. I knew I did not turn the heater on but still it was warm inside. Soon realize why it was. The worst night mare was about to happen. I saw in the mirror that lady was sitting at the back seat staring directly into my eyes. I COULD NOT REACT AT ALL. My wife saw my face with fear and kept asking why I was reacting that way. She knew I was not afraid of anything but she was to be proven wrong in a moment. She said what happened. Nothing came out of my mouth. Suddenly my wife turned to back seat and grabbed her shawl. I hold her hand and looked into her face. She said what happened, she could not see the lady but I could clearly see in the mirror that somebody was sitting there. I don't want to sit in that car anymore but I knew the moment I tell my wife about it she will be out of the car and will run which was not safe at all in the jungle. We kept sitting there for sometime and I closed my eyes and was praying. It was 4 am now and car was again started to get cool. We waited for some more time and it was looking normal now. Lady was gone and sun was about to rise. I turn the engine on and for our surprise lights were working absolutely fine as if nothing happened. We started again and after sometime sun was shining above us. My mind was a bit relaxed but what ever happened I was not able to forget. After driving few kms we saw a small hotel. We decided to stay there and we took one room. Hotel had an old construction but that was the only one there. After we had breakfast we went to our room and slept. We both were so tired that we did not knew that we slept for full day and now again it was NIGHT. Inside our room there was a big glass window from which we can see the full view of the jungle. My wife was sleeping as she was really tired suddenly there was a knock on the door, I opened the door and saw an old man standing with a candle in his hand. He asked me to take it as everyday light goes off anytime. I took the candle and again started to think about the last night. I woke up my wife to ask if she want to have dinner, she refused as she was too tired and did not want to get up. It was a full moon night and trees can be seen easily in the dense forest. I was feeling hungry so I decided to go downstairs and will have something. I saw my wife sleeping so I closed the door and went down to reception. I ordered something to eat and sat on a chair which was placed to see the full jungle view. I was looking at the jungle and full moon light crossing the trees was an amazing view. As soon as my food came in the light went off. I stood up immediately as I was worried about my wife. I started to run back to my room but could not find it. Soon I realized that we both were the only people staying there. With the mobile torch I found my room and I opened the door. THE THING WHICH I SAW WAS THE LAST THING I WANTED TO SEE IN MY LIFE: The same lady was standing beside my wife and looking at her and smiling. I was stunned and ran towards my wife. I shouted and grabbed her in my arms. She was shocked and was confused about what happened. I immediately asked her to pack the bags and leave the hotel. She insisted on staying in the hotel only as she knew outside weather will not allow us to leave. I wanted to tell her the entire things that was happening with me but I knew right now she will be able to sleep well but after that she will not be able to rest properly. I was inside the blanket now and was looking here and there but there was no sign of the lady. Till 11.30 I was awake but after sometime I feel sleepy and closed my eyes. 2 am somebody was knocking the window; I opened my eyes and saw the same lady was standing outside the window and staring me. I checked my wife and to my biggest surprise she was not in the bed. I turn on my mobile torch and check the entire room; suddenly I heard a low sound coming from the corner of the wall. I checked there my wife was sitting on the ground and looking at the same women. She was so afraid that she could not even shout. I immediately ran towards her and held her in my arms. She pointed her finger towards the window and said she saw a man standing outside. I told her it was not a man it was a women. She refused to believe it and was sure that it was a man. Nothing was there now and we both sat and I told her everything about what happened last night. She was very surprised to hear that I was seeing a women and she was seeing a man. We both decided not to stay at that place anymore. We packed our bags and came towards the main lobby from where stairs were going down towards the main reception and gate. We walked slowly and to our surprise somebody footsteps were coming from behind but we could not see that person. We came towards the gate and looked for the manager, he was not there so we opened the gate and came out. Our car was parked few meters away we both walked towards the car and I opened the door and we sat inside the car now.
I turned on the engine and to our surprise headlights were again not working. We looked at each other in fear, there was a complete silence. Suddenly a mist of fog covered the whole area and it was dense that we could not see a meter away. I knew whatever it was will not let us go anywhere but we did not know what they wanted from us.
After sometime I asked my wife if we can go inside the hotel again as it was getting colder and colder outside but she refused as she was shivering not because of cold but because of FEAR.
We kept sitting inside the car and waiting for sunrise. We decided that we will go back and will end our tour here. 2 hours passed nothing happened; we sat inside mum and thinking what we will see in next moment. Car window was covered with fog, I turned on the engine and started the blower, and it was of no use. Suddenly we heard that somebody is coming towards the car, the footstep was so loud and clear that we knew that it coming very fast towards us. We hold our hand together and look around, suddenly in the front mirror something was written – “I will be with you always”.
I started the car wiper but it was not going off as if someone has painted on the car window. My wife started to scream madly and shouted :” who are you, what you wanted from us?”
Nothing was there other than a big silence. It was sunrise after sometime and road was clear and visible. Next surprise was waiting for us, there was no hotel. We were standing in the middle of the road and it was covered of trees. There was no sign of hotel or anybody. I came out of the car and looked here and there but nothing was there. At least now we were relaxed that its sunrise now and we are safe. I immediately started the car engine and turned back. We drove so fast as if we are getting late to get our life back. 4 hours of driving I got a T-point, there was no sign where to go. We decided to take the left turn as road in that direction was in good condition. After sometime we saw a small café and a lady was sitting there. My wife was so happy so see someone to whom we can talk and ask about the area. We had some tea and ate some food. I asked the lady if there is any hotel in that area or if she has heard anything about a man and women. She knew nothing about it, we started again as it was evening and we want to get out this mountain drive. I kept on driving though I was feeling very tried but I knew if I stopped now then we will not be able to leave that place.
After sometime it was again DARK. Fear could be seen in my wife eyes, she was so shocked that she stopped talking to me and was looking here and there.
I stopped the car again to get fresh; my wife did not like it at all. I came out the car and first looked at the place. It was dark outside and same nothing was visible clearly. I got fresh and was coming back towards my car; suddenly I heard that someone is calling me from behind. I looked back and saw the same lady was standing in front of me with a man. She did not come near me but was staring at me and said “I will be with you always”. I started running towards my car and turned on the engine and drove as I was driving in formula one. My wife started crying as she knew something again has happened. This time headlights were working fine and we kept on driving. I knew whatever it was now will never come back, we saw the lights coming from town and we reached the town finally.
We were so happy and relaxed to be there, my wife jumped on me and we hugged each other. We knew that we have won the race against death and we are alive.
We came back to our house and months have passed now, there was no sign of that lady and man.
Today my wife has gone out for a party and I am alone in the house. Light went off and when it came back on, I saw something is written on the mirror: “I WILL BE WITH YOU ALWAYS”.

“Definitely not your fault,” I shook my head. “When, where, who and why?”
“Tomorrow night at seven at my uncle’s estate. Family reunion. Sexual orientation he asked hopefully, large chocolate brown eyes pleading with me. will be questioned again if I fail to come without a date,” Scott had a pained expression on his face. “I’ll pick you up at your dorm.
I tried not to laugh. I was two years older than Scott who, by the way, was not gay. He was just too shy to actually talk to girls and I was the only exception because he’d seen me as a business deal in the beginning. He was one of the few that actually stuck around to become friends with me.
“Aw, Scottie,” I gushed, ruffling his hair and earning myself a flat look. “You know I’ll do anything for you baby,” I cooed, making him go red. He was so adorable; if he wasn’t too good for me, I’d keep him and screw the money.
“Thanks, Shawna,” he muttered, whirling around and walking away with his hands jammed into his jeans. Like I said: adorable.
But the next moment I sighed, feeling the familiar tears prick my eyes. Sometimes I really hated myself.
I knew exactly how tomorrow would play out: when I got back to my dorm after classes I’d cram in some information into my brain before starting to get ready at five. I’d choose something pretty and flattering, but not too flashy; Scott had a decent family. I’d put on some make-up, pin up my hair, but I’d ditch the heels, I mused. Scott and I were nearly the same height and it would look awkward if I towered over him. In my mind, I picked out the flats that would go with the sheeny purple dress.
Then Scott would arrive at six, probably with an exotic flower he never forgot to bring me. We’d laugh and talk in his car, with Scott getting steadily more nervous the closer we got to his family, despite the fact that we’d both done the process before.
He’d walk me in, be greeted by an overwhelming number of relatives before they’d play Noah’s Ark and each of them greet, squeeze and kiss us two by two. Scott would probably get patted on the head more than once during dinner while his thrice-removed cousins would openly hit on him. Maybe we’d share a laugh over it.
I’d be sweet and charming, the adorable girl that the mothers wanted for a daughter-in-law and that fathers wanted to control their sons. Then, after more promises to visit soon that neither of us meant unless it could be humanly avoided, we’d leave and Scott would pay me.
I sighed again, blinking fast. This was so humiliating, but it paid well. And the benefits were always amazing – dinner or some prestigious event with incessant male attention nearly every evening and at every holiday. I just wished the attention wasn’t fake. That the kisses were real. That the arm around my waist would send thrills down my spine and the secretive smiles we exchanged meant more than I can’t wait till this is over.
Looking around I realized that I was alone in the enormous auditorium. I walked outside past the bulletin boards advertising used textbooks, a good time, job applications, more good times with less than good girls, and of course, there was his name.
I shook my head, not even bothering to come up and read all the comments underneath it. Adam Ferrell’s name was covered in hearts, lipsticked kisses, and I could only imagine the things written underneath it, having read several of these posts before. His name and picture were all over the school.
So delicious.

And then there was my personal favourite, Oh my god Adam, PLEASE EAT ME!
It stopped being funny after I tried finding a spot to put up Wildlife Fund posters and got them torn down because it covered his name. Now I had a personal vendetta against the guy. But honest to hell, there was no bare spot in this school that hadn’t been Adamized.
He was treated like a god. And he wasn’t even a celebrity or anything, just really good at sports with a really good body and a really sexy face. The infuriating thing was that he was a jerk, player and a heart-breaker.
I’d had the misfortune to run into him once. Literally. After making a humiliating comment about controlling myself in public around him, he’d shouldered past me and said loudly, “Sorry, babe, but you just don’t do it for me.”
Scowling at the memory and altogether feeling downright awful, I leaned back and karate-kicked the swinging door open.
I hit someone in the face.
“OW! Joseph, Mary, and sweet baby Jesus!” someone said in a muffled voice. They sounded furious. i had squeezed my eyes shut when I’d kicked, and now I kept them that way.
I heard footsteps approach and then a dangerously low voice sounded from right in front of me. “Look at me, dammit!”
I cracked a single eye open and then closed it again. “Oh, dear God.”
“Normally I’d ask what you wanted, but this isn’t normal,” Adam Ferrell bit out. He had a bruise forming underneath his left eye. It made his landscaped sculpted face look even more dangerous and hot, but I wasn’t all that happy to claim responsibility for his face modification.
“Whoops,” I said neutrally, staring at him like an idiot.
“Whoops?” he repeated, livid. “Do you know who I am?”
I levelled my gaze at him, not sorry anymore. “Nope.”
He looked at me in disbelief. “Are you a transfer student?”
Figured he wouldn’t remember. “Yep,” I nodded, playing dumb. “Where is toilet?”
But something was dawning on his expression and he pulled his phone out to check. He looked up and down from my face to his screen several times. His gaze hardened.
“Is this you?” he thrust his screen into my eyes. I found myself looking at the picture Joel had taken a couple hours ago.
“No,” I lied, enjoying his incensed expression. I never knew he had anger management issues, but boy did Adam need to calm down. I guess smashing the door on him hadn’t helped, but that was an honest mistake. Anyone could’ve done it.
Right, I told myself sarcastically. Because people walk around karate-kicking doors open.
“Yes it is you,” he persisted stubbornly.
“Fine,” I shrugged, “Your boyfriend cheated on you. Beat him up, not me.”
Adam closed his eyes for a moment and I heard him counting under his breath. I smirked and he caught it when his eyes flew open.
“Excuse me,” he began again, “But are you Shawna Roberts?” he asked me in an impressive attempt at politeness.
I narrowed my eyes. Oh, hell no. “Depends on what you want from her.”
For the first time that Adam and I had – well, not talked – I saw him smile and I finally understood the reason that so many girls were jumping off bridges for this guy

Most of us do the fatal mistake of looking outwards for happiness rather than looking inwards. Be positive, be strong, be bold and be courageous you are sure to find the feeling of happiness within you. Even if we are having a bad day, think of some good things that may come our way, either later that day, tomorrow, next week, or next moment. When everything seems to be beyond our control, it’s almost too easy for us to slip into the grasp of negativity and unhappiness.
To avoid sadness we must strive to abolish this sort of thinking through the power of thinking positively and generate the feeling of happiness within us. The art of sweet living is not a complicated kind of art difficult to learn rather a simple art of happy living feeling well, eating well, and thinking well. What we need to do is just to tune up our mind to enjoy every moment of life and let the sweet happiness follow us. This is something that needs to be looked into thoroughly. We need to focus on the positive aspects of lives, rather than on the negative setbacks and enjoy every moment of life happily and merrily. Enjoy your life with cheerful talks. Be happy and cheerful.
We must remember that happy living is the reward of sweet and positive thinking. We ought to remember, only the positive thinking can bring happiness in our lives. If we cannot think positively, you cannot live happily. Be our own teacher or adviser we ought to look everything with a positive angle. Let us find something good even in most critical moments of our life and let us make positive thinking the basis of our happy living. It’s a matter of thought that fools worry about the circumstances on which they have no control. The wise live on positive good and happy thoughts. A sound and positive happiness is all around. It’s not far away from us. If we do not want to live happy, it’s up to us. It’s our own choice. We must not blame others, nor should we blame our fate or external circumstances. Another thing is that feeling confident affects the way we perceive our situations and how we decide to manage them. Think that by being more optimistic we alter our approaches to situations and take on them in a healthier manner; we think of alternatives and act according to better outcomes. All our efforts lead us to good and happy living. If we think we are positive and happy, it will be positive. It does not say to stick our heads in the soil; rather it says to think positive. Interestingly it does not say feel positive it says think positive and that is the real meaning to remain happy. Positive thinking, good and happy thoughts make us to live happily. Happiness does not come alone, it adds our minds body and soul to remain in constant touch with each other. We have to remove negative thoughts and create and atmosphere to be happy in our lives.
There are many fear factors that are reasoning us to be unhappy and the main reason being that our heart and our feelings which are more susceptible to fear and worry then the mind. We do the worrying in our minds but it is our emotions that make us more worried not our brains. When the heart senses the possibility of loss it can start panicking and then uses the mind to worry and many times tries to manipulate the brain in dealing with the fear. The heart desires something and gets excited about it and then it manipulates the mind to assure that it will get it. Although the brain can control the emotions and knowledge can proceed all. However when it comes to response time the brain is slower than the emotions. That is which explains why we say or do things and then regret them. It would be very hard to tell someone who is worried to feel happy. But if you tell him to think positive that is something even a worried person can do. We need to use our mind to think to be happy and positive. Our objective in life should be to train ourselves to wait for the brain to show up before we say or do anything. Fear usually comes from the emotions and thinking positive is something the brain is capable of doing, making happy living as the key to success.
Just think of sweet and happy living. This simple task can be done by thinking positive as it brings positive results in its wake; when you react in a positive way to a negative situation you usually get positive in return and the feeling of happiness is born in you. Positive mental attitude is effective in many ways. There are limits to the effectiveness of positive and happy thinking. Do we try to assume that the persons who are not treating us the way we should be treated are themselves in pain and needs our love and advice to be happy in life and lead a good, sweet and happy life? This book is written by Max Heindel, the founder, and Messenger of The Rosicrucian Fellowship. This is a reference book of the Fellowship students and Probationers. This book is also referred as Cosmo-Conception or Mystic Christianity.
The founder of the Christian Religion stated an occult maxim when He said: “Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall not enter therein” (Mark 10:15). All occultists recognize the far-reaching importance of this teaching of Christ and endeavor to “live” it day by day.
When a new philosophy is presented to the world it is met in different ways by different people.
One person will grasp with avidity any new philosophical effort in an endeavor to ascertain how far it supports his own ideas. To such an one the philosophy itself is of minor importance. Its prime value will be its vindication of HIS ideas. If the work comes up to expectation in that respect, he will enthusiastically adopt it and cling to it with a most unreasoning partisanship; if not, he will probably lay the book down in disgust and disappointment, feeling as if the author had done him an injury.
Another adopts an attitude of skepticism as soon as he discovers that it contains something which HE has not previously read, heard, or originated in his own thought. He would probably resent as extremely unjustified the accusation that his mental attitude is the acme of self- satisfaction and intolerance; such is nevertheless the case; and thus he shuts his mind to any truth which may possibly be hidden in that which he off-hand rejects.
Both these classes stand in their own light. “Set” ideas render them impervious to rays of truth. “A little child” is the very opposite of its elders in that respect. It is not imbued with an overwhelming sense of superior knowledge, nor does it feel compelled to look wise or to hide its
nescience of any subject by a smile or a sneer. It is frankly ignorant, unfettered by preconceived opinions and therefore eminently teachable. It takes everything with that beautiful attitude of trust which we have designated “child-like faith,” wherein there is not the shadow of a doubt. There the child holds the teaching it receives until proven or disproven.
In all occult schools the pupil is first taught to forget all else when a new teaching is being given, to allow neither preference nor prejudice to govern, but to keep the mind in a state of calm, dignified waiting. As skepticism will blind us to truth in the most effective manner, so this calm, trustful attitude of the mind will allow the intuition, or “teaching from within,” to become aware of the truth contained in the proposition. That is the only way to cultivate an absolutely certain perception of truth.
The pupil is not required to believe off-hand that a given object which he has observed to be white, is really black, when such a statement is made to him; but he must cultivate an attitude of mind which “believeth all things” as possible. That will allow him to put by for the time being even what are generally considered “established facts,” and investigate if perchance there be another viewpoint hitherto unobserved by him whence the object referred to would appear black. Indeed, he would not allow himself to look upon anything as “an established fact,” for he realizes thoroughly the importance of keeping his mind in the fluidal state of adaptability which characterizes the little child. He realizes in every fiber of his being that “now we see through a glass, darkly,” and Ajax-like he is ever on the alert, yearning for “Light, more Light.”
The enormous advantage of such an attitude of mind when investigating any given subject, object or idea must be apparent. Statements which appear positively and
unequivocally contradictory, which have caused an immense amount of feeling among the advocates of opposite sides, may nevertheless be capable of perfect reconciliation, as shown in one such instance mentioned in the present work. The bond of concord is only discovered by the open mind, however, and though the present work may be found to differ from others, the writer would bespeak an impartial hearing as the basis of subsequent judgment. If the book is “weighed and found wanting,” the writer will have no complaint. He only fears a hasty judgment based upon lack of knowledge of the system he advocates—a hearing wherein the judgment is “wanting” in consequence of having been denied an impartial “weighing.” He would further submit, that the only opinion worthy of the one who expresses it must be based upon knowledge.
As a further reason for care in judgment we suggest that to many it is exceedingly difficult to retract a hastily expressed opinion. Therefore it is urged that the reader withhold all expressions of either praise or blame until study of the work has reasonably satisfied him of its merit or demerit.
The Rosicrucian Cosmo-Conception is not dogmatic, neither does it appeal to any other authority than the reason of the student. It is not controversial, but is sent forth in the hope that it may help to clear some of the difficulties which have beset the minds of students of the deeper philosophies in the past. In order to avoid serious misunderstanding, it should be firmly impressed upon the mind of the student, however, that there is no infallible revelation of this complicated subject, which includes everything under the sun and above it also.
An infallible exposition would predicate omniscience upon the part of the writer, and even the Elder Brothers tell
us that they are sometimes at fault in their judgment, so a book which shall say the last word on the World-Mystery is out of the question, and the writer of the present work does not pretend to give aught but the most elementary teachings of the Rosicrucians.
The Rosicrucian Brotherhood has the most far-reaching, the most logical conception of the World-Mystery of which the writer has gained any knowledge during the many years he has devoted exclusively to the study of this subject. So far as he has been able to investigate, their teachings have been found in accordance with facts as he knows them. Yet he is convinced that The Rosicrucian Cosmo-Conception is far from being the last word on the subject; that as we advance greater vistas of truth will open to us and make clear many things which we now “see through a glass, darkly.” At the same time he firmly believes that all other philosophies of the future will follow the same main lines, for they appear to be absolutely true.
In view of the foregoing it will be plain that this book is not considered by the writer as the Alpha and Omega, the ultimate of occult knowledge, and even though it is entitled The Rosicrucian Cosmo-Conception, the writer desires to strongly emphasize that is not to be understood as a “faith once for all delivered” to the Rosicrucians by the founder of the Order or by any other individual. It is emphatically stated that this work embodies only the writer's understanding of the Rosicrucian teachings concerning the World-Mystery, strengthened by his personal investigations of the inner Worlds, the antenatal and postmortem states of man, etc. The responsibility which devolves upon one who wittingly or unwittingly leads others astray is clearly realized by the writer, and he wishes to guard himself as far as possible against that contingency, and also to guard others
against the possibility of going wrong inadvertently.
What is said in this work is to be accepted or rejected by the reader according to his own discretion. All diligence has been used in trying to understand the teaching; great pains have been taken to put it into words that shall be easily understood. For that reason only one term has been used throughout the work to convey each idea. The same word will have the same meaning wherever used. When any word descriptive of an idea is first used, the clearest definition possible to the writer is given. None but English terms and the simplest language have been employed. The writer has constantly endeavored to give as exact and definite descriptions of the subject under consideration as possible; to eliminate all ambiguity and to make everything clear. How far he has succeeded must be left to the student to judge; but having diligently used every possible endeavor to convey the teaching, he feels compelled to guard also against the possibility of this work being taken as an authoritative statement of the Rosicrucian teachings. Neglect of this precaution might give undue weight to this work in the minds of some students. That would not be fair to the Brotherhood nor to the reader. It would have a tendency to throw the responsibility upon the Brotherhood for the mistakes which must occur in this as in all other human works. Hence the above warning.
During the four years which have elapsed since the foregoing paragraphs were written, the writer has continued his investigations of the invisible worlds, and experienced the expansion of consciousness relative to these realms of nature which comes by practice of the precepts taught in the Western Mystery School. Others also who have followed the method of soul-unfoldment herein described as particularly suited to the Western peoples, have likewise been enabled to
verify for themselves many things here taught. Thus the writer's understanding of what was given by the Elder Brothers has received some corroboration and seems to have been substantially correct, therefore he feels it a duty to state this for the encouragement of those who are still unable to see for themselves.
If we had said that the vital body is built of prisms instead of points, it would have been better, for it is by refraction through these minute prisms that the colorless solar fluid changes to a rosy hue as observed by other writers beside the author.
Other new and important discoveries have also been made; for instance, we know now that the Silver Cord is grown anew in each life, that one part sprouts from the seed atom of the desire body in the great vortex of the liver, that the other part grows out of the seed atom of the dense body in the heart, that both parts meet in the seed atom of the vital body in the solar plexus, and that this union of the higher and lower vehicles causes the quickening. Further development of the cord between the heart and solar plexus during the first seven years has an important bearing on the mystery of childlife, likewise its fuller growth from the liver to the solar plexus, which takes place during the second septenary period, is a contributory cause of adolescence. Completion of the Silver Cord marks the end of childlife, and from that time the solar energy which enters through the spleen and is tinted by refraction through the prismatic seed atom of the vital body located in the solar plexus, commences to give a distinctive and individual coloring to the aura which we observe in adults.
