PROLOGUE: The blood brothers St. Lucifer and St. Michael are created out of one falling star. Lucifer cannot handle sharing his glory with eleven brethren and is excommunicated from heaven for playing creator. As revenge, he corrupts God’s first village and its original woman Rebecca, whose husband Joseph remains steadfast and faithful. BOOK TWO: When the court awakes, Nomed is gone. But Belinda reappears, claiming that this world is Lucinda’s illusion to trap him and that the family members are all actually asleep, poisoned by Nomed and caught in hell in a time trap. Alexander’s mission is to track down his sister and kill her. Werewolves in an enchanted forest petrify him, challenging his sanity, but Belinda leads him to his three angels, who send him into The Dark Forest. There and in The Wasteland he endures demonic visions, but is protected by love. Meanwhile, King Adnicul has been betrayed and encaged by his master Lucifer, who has told him he was but a vehicle to tutor Lucinda. Adnicul’s dead servant Eric comes back to him as an angel and promises him eternal peace if he helps Alexander find his sister. Alexander is lead by his younger self to a forest tribe, who tutor him to become an magical warrior. His reward is St.Michael’s Sword.
BOOK THREE: King Alex meets an old hermit that leads him to four evangelists down in a valley. They in turn lead him closer to finding his family. The last of the evangelists is St.Michael himself, who shows him Adnicul and asks him to team up with his former enemy in order to find peace. Strongly apprehensive and plagued by nightmares at first, he learns of Adnicul’s fate. He is a reincarnation of Lucifer’s first angel and wants to return to his tree in Eden. Together, they almost
defeat a monster, but Adnicul is captured by the reawakened beast. Alexander is forced to go on without him. The third and most vicious demonic forest leads him to the Cave of Original Sin where he meets Lucinda, who tempts him with roman riches and sensual fame. Adnicul escapes the beast in order to help Alex and together they finally kill Lucinda. A race against time begins, taking them through the seven horrid levels of hell, only to find the trapped family hanging in cages above a lava tunnel where they chase away Lucifer. Adnicul finds his peace in Eden. The family returns to their own restored time and Alexander decides to erect a monument to the archangelic memory of his past.
EPILOGUE: Alexander, sitting in front of the fire in his home, is visited by old long gone friends and dies happy, knowing he will see the other side content to have succeeded in his saving mission. [mehr]

Almost everyone in the class was surprised. Didn't tell anyone to be silent, sir.
Mehrab sat down. Sir began to take classes. Kavya is looking at the outside very well
Meherab: Sir, it is not a black cherry tree
Everyone looked back at Meherab's hand and looked outside

Sometime around 1976, our Dad began to act in a most unusual manner. Dad was never one for conformity but even we, his family, were surprised by his actions. In short, Dad began to disappear for long periods of time and would re-appear hours later with a satisfied grin on his face and laughter playing around his lips. We knew where he was, of course, but figuring out what he was doing there was less easy. We had a few hints to help us with our puzzle. We knew Dad was in his bedroom, that no-one should disturb him and that a by-product of whatever he was doing was a painfully slow, rhythmic banging sound that seemed to penetrate our brains and consciences wherever we were in the house - and sometimes in other people's houses as well.
Then Dad announced he was writing (and typing!) a book.
Those who knew him, (but not his immediate nearest and dearest), would have been surprised by this announcement and would possibly have considered the prospect with some cynicism. Dad, you see, was a man who by his own admission considered formal education an intrusion on his lifestyle. Despite the interference of the second world war with his education, Dad easily passed grammar school entrance exams then, being Dad, realised this would result in him being apart from his friends and promptly set about restructuring his education! It is probably fair just to say that Dad started full-time adult employment pretty early in life.
But Dad had an education second to none once he got into the adult world. He was at various times, a projectionist with Gainsborough Film Studios (under the jurisdiction of a young J.Arthur Rank), a milkman, a very capable and commended National serviceman and a host of other things, most of which he probably forgot to tell us about. But mostly, Dad would like to be remembered for being a lorry driver and removal man for a family firm in Watford, Herts. He loved his work, but hated being away from his family for days on end on long-distance jobs. He gained, however, a never-ending supply of comical memories, provided by characters he met as he worked.
It is a shame that no publisher or television company took on the publication or production of Dad's book/screenplay (he wrote it in both formats). It is also a shame that a very similar idea was offered to the public via one of the above media not too long after a particular rejection slip was received. Dad, being Dad, took it with a shrug of resignation. He wasn't a man to get upset about such things.
Dad left us on November 9th 2001 and there are so many ways that he will be forever in our hearts, but we also believe that he deserved the chance for his book to read by the people who inspired it - the general public and the world at large.
It is a huge pleasure to be able to offer Dad's book to the world via this website. Dad would be thrilled to know that anyone, anywhere would be able to read some or all of his 'labour of love'.

This book is the story of a young prince who fell in love with a harlot who served at the temple of the goddess Ishtar. Their romance ended up with the arrival of an unwanted heir to the throne sending the mother of the child and the future heir into exile from the kingdom of Babylon and living a life far less royal than expected away from wealth and luxury in a farming village. The story unfolds with the close relationship of the gods and the lives of the rulers of the kingdom, having an interactive relationship that influences all aspects of life and death.
The story opens up with the funeral procession of King Sibri through the streets of Babylon and describes the actions succeeding his death, the revolt of the people and the disenchantment of the gods. Mentions the arrival of the new heir of the throne and his mother in a secret way following the funeral procession, the process of the rituals and their mishaps in the city of Babylon.
The book describes the past events that led to the actual events: what happened, how it happened, who was there, what were the consequences, who said what, etc,... Mylitta, the mother of Duzi, (the new heir to the throne) is the star of the story. It is her actions and her contacts that got her son into the kingdom crown plus the fatalities of the closest of kin. The high priest and the will of the gods played a big part in this success when Militta, Duzi and Hisham, the high priest went into their temples to pray and to ask for guidance in these matters.
The angry gods appeared smiling and agreed in Duzi's succession to the kingdom with one condition: the death of the demon Pridell who inhabited the earth in the physical form of a ferocious bird-like dinosaurus, which lived in a cave seven moons away from the city of Babylon. The gods were disgusted with the demon because it would take away, steal and rapture the souls of the god's worshipers leaving them empty handed.
There is a detailed description of the battle that took place sending Duzi into victory and claiming the crown of the kingdom.
After that, Duzi travels the world learning other cultures, traditions, cuisines, music and folklore and he finds himself in Athens, Greece. He meets a mysterious man named Paul (the Jew) who prietches about an Unknown God and Duzi has a real out of this world experience with this God of the Jews, he repents, accepts the Truth and transforms his life entirely. The scales of blindness fall off from his eyes and everything he knew about good and evil is revealed to him. He returns to Babylon to find out that the entire kingdom of evil: all the deities of Babylon have declared war on him, his descendants and the people of Babylon. The gods send them a plague of blood turning the rivers into blood, Duzi prays to the Unknown God and the blood disappears. "You want Maslova?" she asked the warden, as they neared one of the cells opening into the corridor.
The warden, with a loud clanking of iron, unlocked and opened the door of the cell, releasing an even fouler odor than permeated the corridor, and shouted:
"Maslova to the court!" and again closing the door he waited for her appearance.
The fresh, vivifying air of the fields, carried to the city by the wind, filled even the court-yard of the jail. But in the corridor the oppressive air, laden with the smell of tar and putrescence, saddened and dejected the spirit of every new-comer. The same feeling was experienced by the jail matron, notwithstanding she was accustomed to bad air. On entering the corridor she suddenly felt a weariness coming over her that inclined her to slumber.
There was a bustling in the cell; women's voices and steps of bare feet were heard.
"Hurry up, Maslova! Come on, I say!" shouted the warden into the cell-door. [mehr]
