This chronicle features an ensemble cast of characters and takes place in South Florida in the year 2000. Eboni and Christine Brown are sisters that are bonded by blood and magic. In the underworld, they’re known as Guardians. They are feared and revered but possessing great power can also make them targets. A mysterious woman arrives in town with her gang of assassins to feast on human hearts, but her plans are more ambitious than just making everyone a snack. In addition, lately, factions have been making a play at bringing forth the End Days. Bossman owned Club Rodeo and was the overseer of the Rodeo Academy. A secret society put in place centuries ago by an evil wizard bent on destroying civilization. The regimen of duties was to destroy any semblance of humanity left within any pledge’s heart. The academy consisted of several hundred acolytes from around the South Florida region who were recruited as dope boys, transporters, and lookouts—but other more promising recruits were offered more life changing opportunities. Michael Walker was born and raised in O-Town where life as shorty should not have been so tough. Life was hard and chances of becoming successful were slim to none; he spent most of adolescence in Foster homes or on the streets. A speech impediment and being poor left him mocked and ridiculed. He often times wished for a better life, when not wishing to end his own. His wishes came true when he met Bossman. The impending apocalypse was one in a laundry list of events that were over the horizon. Graduation also loomed in the immediate future. Eboni had plans to attend college in the fall, as well as some of her friends, but with agents of evil ramping up their efforts against the struggle, she may have to postpone her academic career. Gullivar Jones is a good soldier, there is no question of that. He is driven to the ends of the Red Planet to find his love. But he does not bore the reader with constant reminders of what a good soldier he is. On the contrary, with the novel being written in the style of a memoirs, Jones is almost too humble about himself and the credibility of his story. The defining characteristic of the Martian civilization is that they are such an ancient, lethargic race that marriages are decided by public draw and assented to by an attitude just above apathy. Jones is an oddity not merely because of his strange dress and manner, but because of his passion for the princess. Contagious, it spreads to her and she is willing to risk her own life to provide Jones a means of identifying her ballot in the jar. Just when it seems his goal of bedding his mistress is reached, she is snatched away by the invading barbarians from afar. Furious, Jones tries to frenzy an army to no avail. The men of Mars are too cowardly, comfortable and indifferent. The only one who isn't is the prince, who sold off the princess out of jealously, the opposite of Jones' wholesome and manly red blood. Making his way by land and sea, Jones tours the Martian environs and befriends its people. Once or twice he even catches himself feeling more sympathy for the brutish, hairy barbarians than for the weak and waifish native peoples of his princess. Still he presses onwards to win her back to her people and his breast. Nevermind, of course, that he does have a girl back home that he was engaged to before the magic carpet spirited him away. She does come to mind occasionally whenever he fears that he will meet his end on this faraway world. He wonders what has become of her and what she must be feeling at this moment, but the wondering passes when he concentrates again on his quest to find his girl in this port. [mehr]

With the help of Scraps, an anthropomorphic patchwork doll, Ojo journeys through Oz to save his uncle. 8 Tik-Tok of Oz 1914 Betsy Bobbin, a girl from Oklahoma, is shipwrecked with her mule, Hank, in the Rose Kingdom of Oz. She meets the Shaggy Man there and the two try to rescue the Shaggy Man's brother from the Nome King. The morphology, the body-mind causalities, the form-finality are only a miniscule aspect of the vastly stretched reality of ‘I’. They are only a ‘context’ and ‘specificity’ for certain causalities and there are infinite contexts for expansive realities. The experiences, feelings, perceptions, purposes, the will, expressions, learning et al are massive landscapes, all constantly and endlessly evolving within ‘I’ in entire lifetime. These landscapes of ‘I’ are interacting with infinite causalities and gender morphology is only a small ‘context’ of these massive interactions. Modern science has added magic into the process of understanding the Self or ‘I’ and its Intentionality. The Intentionality now has scientific basis. Not only human mechanisms and processes; rather, everything about Reality, is now available for completely novel, deeper and holistic understanding and internalization. Mohammad Amin Sheikho Birth: 1890 A.D. Death: 1964 A.D. Precept: Interpretation of the Holy Qur’an Early Years Scholar Sheikho was born in al-Ward district in Sarouja Quarter, one of the historical districts of Damascus, in Syria which was called mini-Istanbul during the period of the Ottoman rule. He was raised in an Arab style house situated opposite the famous public al-Ward Bathhouse. This house stands there to the present day. Scholar Sheikho was still young when his father, the merchant Ismael Sheikho, departed this world. Mohammad Saleem, the only and elder brother of Mohammad Amin, was assigned as a director of the Military School during the Ottoman rule. Education At the age of twelve the boy who was to become the great scholar was enrolled at al-Rashidiya School, he then went on to complete his studies in Amber, the Royal Ottoman Faculty in Damascus. He received many certificates of praise and commendation during the Ottoman rule and then under the reign of King Faisal in Syria. There are many copies of these certificates still preserved in trustworthy hands. One of His Pupils Professor A. K. John, alias al-Dayrani is the best known and most distinguished among the pupils of Scholar Sheikho. He received a certificate of General Education (a Syrian certificate which included the study of nine different sciences). Prof. al-Dayrani collected and verified more than fifty books which were dictated by Scholar Sheikho and written on his behalf. Therefore his name is always mentioned in association with the name of Mohammad Amin Sheikho. A Glimpse of his distinguished thoughts and views He disclosed the true meaning of the letters (acronyms) that are reported at the beginning of the Fortresses of the Holy Qur’an, which was not understood by previous Muslim scholars and said that, “Al’lah knows best His Purpose behind them.” He disproved the stories which are ascribed wrongly to the noble Envoy Mohammad (cpth), such as the story of his being affected by the action of magic, the story of cutting his noble chest (cpth), and all that would put him (cpth) in the wrong. He elucidated that the noble Prophets are impeccable in all of their words, actions and deeds. - He was the first in the world to reveal the source of fresh spring and river water, which is the ice of the North and South Poles. - He gave an exact definition of the ‘human spirit’ and clarified the difference between that and the ‘soul’. - He differentiated between the ‘mind’ and ‘thought’ - He talked about al-Azal world, the very beginning of creation in the world of immaterial spirits, and demonstrated the Godly Justice in that world and the reason for the coming of mankind to this world. - He elucidated the wisdom in turning towards al-ka’ba when communicating with God (praying); he explained the reason for fasting and the meaning of the Night of al-Qadr (Evaluation) and how to attain it. - He interpreted from the noble Qur’an how to derive the proportion of Zakat (almsgiving). WhileMahabharata's Bhagvad-Gita is taken as a philosophical guide, Ramayana's Sundara Kãnda is sought for spiritual solace; many believe that reading Sundara Kãnda or hearing it recited would remove all hurdles and usher in good tidings! Miracles apart, it's in the nature of Sundara Kãnda to inculcate fortitude and generate hope in man for it’s a depiction of how Hanuman goes about his errand against all odds. Besides, it portrays how Seetha, on the verge of self-immolation, overcomes despair to see life in a new light? With rhythm of its verse and the flow of the narrative this sloka to sloka transcreation of the canto beautiful of Valmiki's adi kavya - the foremost poetical composition in the world, Hanuman's Odyssey that paves the way for Rama to rescue his kidnapped wife is bound to charm the readers and listeners alike. Interestingly, as the following verse illustrates, it was the forerunner of the magic realism of our times – “Gripped she then him by shadow / Cast which Hanuman coast to coast, Recalled he in dismay then / What Sugreev said at outset / That one fiend had aptitude / To grip its prey by mere shadow.” On a personal note, my paternal grandfather, Bulusu Thimmaiah-garu, like many in his time, was a life-long practitioner of Sundara Kãnda parayana (the epic’s daily recital in part or full), whose spirituality could have providentially guided me in this, rather an effortless, trans-creative endeavour.
