I can fully relate to this tale. It is played out so much in our society and the ones who do rise are the ones who hold on to the Lord to get them through crisis upon crisis. Your friend's mom was wise - the forgiveness is the comfort God gives us not the forgiven one. This was a true gut level view of betrayal...voted and kept...Paula

Excellent depiction of the harsh realities resulting from a broken home. The writer did a great job revealing all the emotions of the characters from pain to shame, to struggle and ultimately success.

i was almost halfway in your story.it is interesting because as a mother there is really a relation in bearing all the sufferings for your children.i admired the mother's steadfast love amidst their adversaries in life.congratulations you are doing good author-friend.

The introduction of so many characters at the beginning was a little too much for my mind to take in. It is good to build characterisation through the actions of your characters rather than through exposition.

I noticed a wide range of grammatical and spelling errors. I'll give a couple of examples:

Pg 8 - Noticeable should be noticably
Pg 9 - Friend should be friends.
Pg 9 - 'Writes legibly well.' Remove 'well'.
Pg 11 - 'She was terribly crying.' Remove 'terribly'.
Pg 11 - 'I told her that, "Don't worry".' Remove 'that'.

I think you should re-read carefully, perhaps (as has been suggested to me) out loud to yourself.
