This sounds like quite an experience! The fact that the boy didn't appreciate the danger - in fact was quite enjoying it - rings true. Then the tree falling on the house - it seems unbelievable but I suppose it was all to do with the same storm. Someone was definitely watching out for you that year! Good writing

Thanks. Mild dyslexia so sometimes I cannot see my spelling. The computer helps a lot. Apart from that what I learned in my English classes a long time ago was how to bet on horses and how to avoid being blown up by a bomb, don't ask I am english and at one of those schools.

You might enjoy Letters from Ibiza, which is true and comic or the Hatti story, Underground it seems a bit hard on the yanks but we Brits have done the same and is about the politicians not the country.
