As far as the content of the poem is concerned, trust me when I tell you that the intense feelings of rejection, hurt and pain are usually stronger when we are teenagers. As we grow, we learn better how to handle our emotions and channel them more productively. My teen years were spent writing poetry such as this, and when I look back now I just wish I knew then what I know now.
Still...it is important for us to express our emotions in order to recognize what they are and where they came from...and you have done that very well.
