You've done it again, Serena! This little vignette of a pivotal moment in the lives of this couple was perfectly staged and well-told. Bravo! Here's another vote for you!

A nice piece of flash fiction. It packs a lot of punch in a short span. You certainly could turn this into a longer story.

What I like most about this story is that it was so concise yet so intriguing. No unnesecary words and quick-moving prose.
