A nice start to the story, but feels like just that, just the start. I might also suggest that you put more description into how the angels presence makes him feel; I think that would capture the readers imagination more as they try to experience these emotions themselves, stepping into you characters shoes. Still an nice concept though, I like the angel pretending to be injured, I haven't seen that tactic used by angels in a story before, very unique :)

I liked it a lot, but I wish it had more detail and was longer. The story its self is very interesting.

What i liked most about this story is how you, the narrator, felt compassion for this man who uses drink to dull his pain.

The fact you wrote in an angel makes me
realize how optimistic you are too.

I was always fascinated by angel stories when I was a girl and loved watching all the movies. Have you seen The Vicars Wife with Cary Grant and Loretta Young? And I love that one with Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan. Can't remember what its called now. It's probably something like 'Angels' LOl.

I think you need to linger on the description of the angel a bit more. I'd like to know more about how you envisage her, and also I wasn't sure about her glowing out there in the street. i would have made her normal until she took her jacket off. Then, the picture in my mind of an angel spreading her wings would have more of an impact.
