This is a well-written story – full of painful emotions but with a touch of hope and inspiration. It is an end of the world that leads to a new transition in a person’s life. Good EOW contest interpretation!

Thanks for having such sharp eyes. When I first posted my story I came back and it was gone. I did not save a whole finished copy so I hurriedly wrote the rest. I failed to see the part you pointed out but have since fixed it. Happy you read and enjoyed it Thanks Serena

This was a very touching tale. Though I got a little confused about the transition of the little girl being referred to as Sophie I thought it was well written and conveyed both a sense of the present predicament and a strong sense of empathy towards Sophie's plight. Good job!
