You captured a fear that I think many of us have dreamed about - whether it be dancing, singing, acting or just plain public speaking. I totally related to this - and am glad you made a final "tweak". I wish you the very best with this well-told entry.

I liked it. It was very well-written, no grammar errors (at least, that I could see), and it flowed very well. I have two thoughts for improvement. The first sentence was very gripping, but it seems a bit redundant. I might change it to two sentences, such as- I was frozen. Completely paralyzed. The second suggestion I have concerns the ending. It seems like just a bit of a let down. To fix this, all I suggest is ending it with one period, not drifting off with three. With that said, I found it a lot of fun to read, and I think it is already an excellent contest entry.

You have another winner here and although there are a few "as" that could be dropped, they don't detract from the story. It flows beautifully and we are catapulted up there with her, as she fights the fear away and does what everyone expects.
