of people earn less and that the official poverty level for a family of 4 is
$25,100.

The corporations do not need a tax break. They need to pay more in salary.
Then and only then should a tax break even be considered.

The laws governing money are opposite to those governing energy. Heat flows
from hot to cold (high to low). Money flows from poor to rich. ""Trickle
down"" has never happened and never will.

Fighting a war - especially a meaningless murderous one in which officers and
soldiers have no “patriotic” reason, no personsl feeling that we’’re doing

I am sure that, fighting for their country , freedom from corrupt governments
backed by the most powerful military on the planet led some members of the NLF
to commit atrocities too - for all armies have those who do.

But the US forces, the evidence shows the rate of war crimes surpassed the
level of Islamic militants who, not even understanding their own faith, and
use rape as a weapon. Why? They have been misled about what al Islam means,
but they believe they are fighting FOR something - not just because they were
drafted.

For the record——These images make it appear that Lesbos, a historic, beautiful
island is a cesspool, which is incorrect and damaging to the economy of the
island. The photo of life jackets strewn is from two years ago and that is not
a known beach, its in the “back” of the island and has been thoroughly
cleaned.

I was there last year and all of oesvos was very clean, beaches were
sparkling, tourists were safe and the Greek people were as warm and hospitable
as ever. Greeks from all over Greece have come to Lesbos to help refugees,
giving them clothes, food, medical supplies, and risking their own lives in
the process.

Greek islanders were nominated for a Nobel Prize for aiding refugees. Mo
mention in this article, however.

“The islanders, including fishermen who gave up their work to rescue people
from the sea, are in line to be honoured with one of the world’s most esteemed
awards. Eminent academics from the universities of Oxford, Princeton, Harvard,
Cornell and Copenhagen are drafting a submission in favour of awarding the
prize to the people of Lesbos, Kos, Chíos, Samos, Rhodes and Leros.”

Thank you so much for this moving and incredibly valuable account of your
interactions with Mr. Cruz.

First of all I would like to tell you that, even though I very much understand
how looking back on the kindness you have shown him must feel bitter and very
ambiguous now, it is important to always know that you are a better person
because of that kindness. That is a badge you may wear proudly.

In the past weeks, I have often been disgusted by the way the Parkland
students have been portrayed by some on the right. Never more so than when
Rick Santorum said on CNN that maybe students need to look what they can do
themselves, like taking a CPR class, instead of asking lawmakers to fix their
problems for them.
That was the most cynical, nauseating and abject abdication of duty I have
ever seen in a political landscape and a Republican party that is increasingly
detached from reality.

You have every right to demand that lawmakers do the job they were elected to
do. Which is protect their citizens. All of their citizens.

Of course we also need acts of kindness among each other to prevent those we
can rescue from the precipice of falling into it. But that is in no way
mutually exclusive with preventing those who do fall into it from doing
maximum damage in the act.

Once more, thank you so much for your brave recounting, and the leadership
that you and all of your fellow students have shown in the face of terrible
tragedy and pure horror.

Would also be helpful if pharmaceutical companies didn't provide dosage
guidelines that are actually 2 or 3 times what many people need. Many GPs,
lacking experience with these drugs, go by these guidelines and grossly
overprescribe.
