Follow the money! And, ""It's the economy, stupid!"" The biggest red-herring
in recent times has been stuff like ""cultural issues sow discord among
Democrats."" In Sanders' Our Revolution alone, are cited polls that show the
*majority* of *all* Americans want the policies that Sanders espouses
(Medicare for all, raising the minimum wage, funding tuition for higher
education, etc.). Sanders in particular has focused on the importance of
economic issues, including the dangers of wealth distribution (up!), as well
as climate change and nuclear proliferation. Of course, the intelligent
strategy would take each district into consideration--like the PA 18th. But
even that district may well change to the 14th, as the Republican stranglehold
in PA is lessened. Thereby, it shouldn't mean keeping the Democrats'
strategies stuck overall in the moldering ""centrist"" mold.

Thank goodness that Donald Trump has such a stellar reputation for speaking
the truth, and acting like a sane adult.

It is not his fault that his pajamas got twisted up this winter.

The blame should lay at the door of the Department of Justice's Inspector
general, Michael Horowitz.

When the Inspector caused the president to cringe with disgust, at the
revelation of FBI agents' personal text messages, no one could blame the
president. Now Horowitz has managed to ignore the numerous times that the
Attorney General lied in front of a camera, under oath, yet somehow has
managed to discover a lack of ""candor"" from the Deputy director Andy McCabe,
over his job performance of providing the Republican newspaper, The Wall
Street Journal, the traditional facts of the FBI's role in reviewing the
Clinton Foundation, which by coincidence is part of the job description of any
FBI Deputy Director.

America should not be so quick to recoil at Mr. Trump passing a kitten, in
light of the dishonorable provocation of Mr. Horowitz, who was obviously
attempting to become the next attorney general.

Expos. And yes he had class and as a francophone I appreciated very much the
fact that he learned french. He was also in a commercial for a soft drink
named, you will guest, Orange Crush when he was playing with the Expos.

It is also true that video games and many movies with violence minimize or
ignore the bloody painful results of guns, combat, and such. There's no

Sanders is already changing the story! This is a weekly occurrence now. trump
just shoots his mouth off, and everyone else in the Administration slaps
something together attempting to make trump sound reasonable. The outcome is
predictable; trump will take credit for anything that does not implode and his
dwindling 'team' will get the blame for any fiascos.

Someone--Mueller, Congress, Stormy?-- please push trump out of there before he
does something so stupid that he causes real harm to our country and the rest
of the world.

Between 1963 and 1980, Democrats held the presidency for 9 years. The years
from 1964 to 1966 were a time of huge liberal consensus, and the Democrats
held huge majorities in Congress. The remaining years ersatz Democrats, Nixon
(yes, he of affirmative action, the EPA, the guaranteed annual income and the
negative income tax) and the moderate Republican accident Ford, held office.

So, why did Democrats refuse to fund the 1963 Act? And why do you blame
Reagan?

It is interesting that the limited perception that enables Trump’s support is
reflected in this interview with Barr.

Why do people of color, immigrants, and trans people not even exist in regards
to this conversation?

Isn’t Barr, who is personally wealthy and probably benefits from Trump’s
policy toward protecting personal wealth, an equally distorted voice for
representation of the working class?

I do think that Trump’s support is a conversations that should be creatively
represented, but I am not convinced Barr’s seemingly simplistic engagement
doesn’t continue to prevent reality from being part of it.

I am always amazed that conservative ""thinkers"" want to bring the US back to
1955. What do they see then that we cannot with a little hard work achieve
now. I suspect they want to go back to the robber baron days of yore, without
of course the labor unions, the safety protections or the environmental laws.

The article talks about the middle class which has been just hammered by
Republican conservatives of late, squeezing the last bit of humanity out of
the way they treat that group. How about passing laws and the money to make
all people better suited for today's world. I can see where Republicans have
given so much help to the people of Oklahoma, or Kansas or Lousiana where
schools perform so much worse then is possible if they just gave a damn.
