I prefer to think that the actions of the storekeeper exhibit who we Americans are at heart, really. Historically, our politics here have been filled with less-than-noble acts of self-aggrandizement and downright chicanery; it is our people who make this nation what it is, and so you end your drabbles on a positive note.
