I think we can all learn something from this. We all need to ask ourselves, who do we need to forgive. Remember unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.

You told a complete story in three separate drabbles. Having also come from a broken home...my father left when I was a baby...I could relate so well to what you wrote. I felt your pain, your mother's readiness to leave this mortal coil, and your father's denial. A very well done drabble set that is truthful, poignant and oh so real.

Nicely written. Breakups will leave a scar forever but it's good to forgive. In the end we are humans, we all make mistakes.

Wow... I haven't gone through the trial of a broken family but I've never thought of how it would affect someone who's not so young anymore (no offense, lol). Very heartfelt. Good read. :)
