Kristiana you write beautifully. So easy to read. The only advice I have (and believe me I'm no expert) is, what are you trying to say in this piece? Sometimes the scenes don't have a clear beginning, middle and end. Your style is great. Now try to work on the structure and clarity. Hope this helps a bit? Take care Matt x

"Summer" is the bones of a sad and hopeful tale of otherworldly redemption. In an all-too-earthbound life of misery, inspiration, desperation and beauty join to offer unexpected and unconventional hope or relief. These thousand words are the springboard from which a great story can emerge - if the same palate is used to fill in the flesh of the story.

Its initiating incident, its arc and its word choice need only the slightest additional supports. The backstory and descriptions are begging for clever details - but it is a solid and respectable work worthy of much more investment.

To my mind, beyond any contest, each paragraph would really blossom under some judicious additional details - several of which might grow into chapters of their own.

Do not set the pen down here. Finish this. Make it a priority and tell the full tale.

Beautifully descriptive and heart-rending. You certainly have a way with words. This was poetically delivered with a poignancy that touched me deeply. Well done.

You have a fantastic way of describing details. Of the many successful fiction authors, it is the way the entertain the audience with these very details that separates them from the rest. I believe you have what it takes to become a well known author in your fields.
The only thing that I would suggest is to look at yourself and your writing as "Leadership" and how your words and writing will impact many others without you even knowing it. Show others Good in your writing, give them hope and be clear as not to get confused.
I believe you are becoming a leader, and certainly feel that you have what it takes. Prepare yourself for this role, whether you believe it will come or not. Position yourself and your writing in such a way that you can inspire and motivate others to do what you do.
Keep up the great writing Kristiana, and I very much enjoyed reading this short story :)
