It doesn't take sentience to make a friend.

I remember when I was really young, I felt like I could befriend anything, from a stuffed animal to a pet to a wild animal to a strand of hair. Of course, the only things I kept/stayed near long enough to really treasure were the pets and the stuffed animals.

This is a great book. I much like your daughter loved Simba when I was younger. I can recall taking him with me when I went to Military School and now he sits on the self of my house watching me as a write my books and stories. I enjoyed you book a lot. Keep up the good work.

Don't tell anyone, but I still have my 'Squeaky" and "Perky" too - only 'squeaky' doesn't 'squeak' anymore, and 'Perky' is about as perky as I am (not!).
This is a wonderful story Susi! I can see and feel every wonderful emotion here...good job :)
