What a beautiful account. I'm glad you kept it short, you leave no time for the emotion to fade.
absoluteley soul touching!
you have done a great job!
A very nice story depicting a mother's emotion for her child.
i was quite surprised to find the story ending on the very second page: it rather takes it away from the genre. it is more of a simple account from memory. but on the bright side, i liked the simplicity of the prose and the underlying emotions: joy, fear, hope, et al. all in all a good read albeit too brief.
Thanks for your comment. You're right of course: it is more a memory than a short story as such. Glad you liked what little was there though!
Moving, well written. Loved it. Gets my vote every time!
Thanks Sylvia! Look forward to reading your story soon
Lovely and touching. I remember when my nephew was born two weeks premature and his sneeze. It is just beautiful. I loved it.
This was a wonderful story, and it hit home for my family. My nephew was born several months early and lived in the ICU for two months. He is now in preschool and you would never know he was a premature baby.
Very moving, yet a very beautiful ending.
Belinda
Thank you Belinda. If you've seen those tiny babies for yourself you never forget.
yes,definitely got my vote!
this is the best kind of short story for me. well written prose & a simple, but deeply significant life story. something that takes perspective out of the background of experience & makes it extraordinary.
Thanks so much Renate. Glad you liked it. Love your poems too
