Hi!
Took me a while to dig you up. I want to thank you for the heart for
"Farewell to New York". I feel quite flattered that you, as a native American, could dig my adventurous ways to mistreat your beautiful language, given that I learned it at school in Germany, and really adopted it as my "second mother tongue" during a year-long stay in New York. That was decades ago. I wonder if some of the street-slang expressions and vulgarisms of the golden Hippie times aren't completely outdated by now. Like any other language, American English has evolved a lot since those days, and by now I'd probably need an update crash course, if I ever wanted to write in English again.
Thanks anyhow. If you ever get to write anything at Bookrix, let me know!
