I read your first two chapters, and I think you've built an intriguing story. You've set up lots of questions for the reader to find answers to. We want to know the significance of the necklace and why the Lord and Lady want it. You've also let us know that the Lord and Lady know where it came from, so we know there is an answer somewhere.

My suggestion is that you give Amethyst a best friend among the servants, someone she can confide in. It'll make it easier to get her thoughts and feelings across to the reader if she has someone to talk to. Also, it will be a way for Amethyst to get information she wouldn't be privvy to.

All in all, and really good beginning. You've set it up well, now go with it. Double check for typos, and be careful with dialogue. When people speak, it generally should stand alone in a paragraph and not be attached to someone else's dialogue or actions. Hope this helped! :)
