Floor S stands for serenity. The whole time Will was on this floor, everything was calm and peaceful. Thich made Will look in another direction and think differently, causing him to see what really matters in life, and take the greed out of his mind. Will leaves KPO with a whole new mindset on life, which is why I think S stands for serenity, because of the calm environment on this floor that changes Will's outlook on life.

"S" stands for satisfaction. In this chapter Will learns to be content with his life. Before he came to KPO Will had an "insatiable thirst for always wanting more", but as he talked to Thich, he learned to live in the moment rather than thinking about the future.

Floor S stands for solutions or sage. Thich spoke like a poet and through the symbolism of other objects in the room, he broke the barrier in Will's mind that was made up of greediness. Through Thich's advice, Will walked out of KPO a completely different person than when he walked in. Also, most of the questions Will had when he entered 'S' were answered one way or another, and he saw his future cut out for him.

Floor S stands for symbolism. This floor has multiple symbolic objects and images that help Will's mind become clear and change his priorities. From the lotus flower representing purity, to the turtle, to the sunset teaching Will to live in the present, the S floor is all about using symbolism to teach Will what really matters in life and is the last step in his journey at KPO.

Following the events of chapter "S," a potential meaning for "S" is "scrutinization," due to help offered by Thich that intensively searched the deepest reaches of Will's soul. After his discussion with Thich, the endless cavern that was his soul had been sealed, and Will had finally found himself through taking in all of the monk's advice and his philosophies. Meticulously, they managed to pinpoint the exact problems of... mehr anzeigen

I think S stands for symbolism. On this floor, everything around him symbolized something to really make him change his way of mind. There were many symbols from the lotus flower on the mat, the turtle on the teacup, and the sunset. The lotus flower helps symbolize the purity as it's able to bloom from murky waters with no problem, showing Will, though he does not have everything in the world he can still be happy. The turtle... mehr anzeigen

I think S stands for serenity because on this floor it is all about staying calm calm and thinking hard about how Will needs to turn his life around. Also the man he was with was giving him philosophical advice. lastly both the sunset, the tea, and the breathing made Will feel content.

I think that S stands for Symbolism. I think this first, to go with the pattern of literacy devices, but also because Will learns about how the lotus flower in this section. It Symbolizes happiness and purity of the mind and such, which makes Will start to realize what he needed to do to get out of his Slump. All that he used to think mattered was material things such as his watch, car and his huge house, rather than ideas... mehr anzeigen
