I'm glad you are an advocate for animals. Some of your animal poems are sad, but they do bring the animals' plights to our attention. I did almost cry several times.

The photographs add a great deal to the book. I liked the book.

lovely poems! you really conveyed the emotions well. i really felt for these animals.
it is different than my kind of poems but you are really good at the rhyming style & you are always telling a story.
i walked dogs for a summer for the local SPCA & it was fun. dogs are so fun and trusting, there's no other animal quite like them. it was disturbing to think that some of them would be put to sleep.
our bonds with animals are really important & your poems remind us of that.

I've just sent you a note...I'm curious about where you live. I can send my 'goons' after the thugs. I'm glad the police have taken over, but that's usually a worse situation in many areas. No place to house them. Maybe they'll turn all the kids into 'Police Dogs"? :)
