An excellent collection of poems which mirrors the author's humane side and rich soul. I do like your deep concern and mercy for the "left out in the cold animals and their plight, but I do think that there are also many HUMAN BEINGS who are not only left out in the cold, but also subject to mistreatment, hunger, violence, rape, sexual harassment, famine etc...and they are sinking in an ocean of silence...Personally, I decided to use WORDS in order to move people to tears, just like you, but by breaking the ice and shedding light on those dis-remembered and unaccounted for silenced human beings...Voted for u.

I'm very touched by your comments. I actually 'do' try to move people to tears when it comes to animals. I may try to write another book, that shows some of the unbelievably wonderful things that I've witnessed over the past few years, due to some of the changes being made in my community. Right now, I wanted to put this book together as a little tribute to some of the guys who helped make that difference.
I think the subject matter of this book might be upsetting for some, but your comments have restored my faith, that I think this might have been a good thing to do.

This is excellent work. When you move your readers, when you touch them to the pont of tears, you've done something very good.

And not just because I am an animal lover and advocate whenever my voice can do some good, but because of what you did and how you put it across. I can only repeat myself: this is excellent.

Great job both from me and my border collie/golden retreiver mix. A shelter rescue tagged to be euthanized that week. She's my bestest friend.

I'm a fan of consistent rhyming when conveying your message, so I enjoyed reading your work. The stories were all touching--my favorite was "a human friend," since, although these things are sad from a human's point of view, they certainly magnify from the victim's.

Humans, in many cases, seem to have little mercy when it comes to animals. There are so many stories, so many sad memories of pets being lost because of that, but the fact that you've captured some of them in art lessens that residual pain.
