Valerie,
Thanks for reading my book and commenting!
Linda
I was pleasantly surprised by the insight, passion and emotion displayed in your poetry. I can defnitely relate to you Linda. Excedllent job.
I love your how your reflections and elements empowered your inner thoughts to bring your journey between two worlds severed between love and lost, betwen emotion's and conflicton from your experience that coincided to your related works. Your fantasy that you are seeking for you will become your desitiny and hopefully mine as well.. Joey
Though some poems deviate from the contest theme, your poems shows your originality and your outlook toward life. I can understand the conflict that your mind goes through and felt quite amazed at the resolve it made through.
This was a wonderful trip through your mind-set. I loved Seven Years, it was touching, gentle and lovely. Your telling of loss, getting on with life, then a wrong path taken with one holding baggage is so true to life; it could be anyone's story. Thanks for a glimpse into the depths of a marriage and its tangle of defeat by a master of sorrow and death. Wa do, Elizabeth
I enjoyed your book! Excellent work! You have my vote.
is so honest and heartfelt, Linda! And your emotions beautifully expressed! Being divorced, I can so relate to Seven Years and New Year's Eve was painful to read, the reader seeing the tragedy!
Got my vote, Linda! Good luck! Petra :))
Betty,
Thank you for your comments. You certainly understood exactly the message being conveyed in my verses!
Linda
You expressed, with great dignity, the feelings of grief, gradual recovery, the rekindling of sexual desire and the sadness and guilt knowing that your new lover is not your's alone.
I was very touched by this sincere and lyrical anthology.
Good luck!
Your writing is a delight, smooth and even, like a magic carpet wafting through the mind and along the waves. "The Last Time" was the most poignant to me though I enjoyed every bit of it and could see this taking place at the frozen edge of Lake Michigan in all its beauty, without knowing the actual haven. Perhaps you could consider delving deeper into the romance of writing, as your imagery is vivid. Thank you for sharing. Warmly, C....
I so appreciate your wonderful review of my book! Thank you for taking the time to read it and comment!
