It ain't easy to write in rhyme and not sound silly...lol.
Very nice and enoyable :) I agree with writingmum though, this felt like it ended prematurely, like it wasn't quite finished. Let me know if you do write more!

You know, Laz, there's just something so personal, so deeply-ingrained romantic about nearly everything you write. I love this little piece...especially the Irish maiden:) But seriously, it does what all your works do. Touches the heart. Good job (again).

Due to popular demand (3)...I'm a bout to add a long version.
But I'm not home. Spending time at my daughter's ...taking care of two brats, while my youngest grand daughter just had a large tumor removed. Bijou is only 15 months. The operation was successful. The recovery will be slow but sure.
Lovely. You should lengthen it, develop the story to a happy ending. Has anyone ever written a book length poem? hmm. Love the cover. A Laz special. Wendy xx
