Lazarus,

This was amazingly sad and beautiful. Your descriptions made me feel what the narrator was feeling. I couldn't help but pity the fact that he couldn't be with his beloved anymore. I hope you wrote another mini story such as this one soon.
First off, your cover is exquisite...something from a dream.
In your best works you use imagery that evokes such passionate yearning, and this is one of your best. The fingertips that nearly brush her lips, the longing that will not be realized. The worlds they inhabit that for whatever reasons (wonderful puzzle) can never be joined again. Indeed, I am fully there experiencing your first person agony because of your ability to write.
Review - I lament my humble attempts at prose when I read something like this. I thought the comparison of his ghostly existence with 'smoke from a crematorium' to be exceptional imagery. As always, you are a sprite of poetry. Definitely your talent lies in painting pictures with rich word strokes. Amazing job. Robynn
Very sad, to have to spend eternity near someone you can't have, it's worse than hell. Lovely story. Also beautiful picture.
I took an old picture from the 70s and worked on it to give it an artistic worn look. Then I added the title.
Beautifully written :) I like the picture too, did u make it?
This is such an amazing short story. It is so sad, but so beautifully written.
Where is my crown? I need to give it to you... it says "Master poet" on it. I cond=sider this to be a poem... as it is SO beautiful.
Yes...it is sad.
And yes Dale....a specter...a hollow shell of ones former life.
