I like the irony that all the loot he had collected over the years was utterly useless to him! (Or was it? Will Frank and Buster find a way to use some of that loot to get back 'home'?)

Very cute, Laz. I love the way you took what could be a very complicated subject (for non sci-fi peeps) and turned it into an adorable story with a very understandable ending. I really liked it.

Reader's Digest, because so far my actual story is 1200 words and growing, but I had to cut it back to 800 for the contest. I will post the non-Reader's Digest version one after the contest is over. So much more detail and story.

This story is an excellent slant on the theme.

I wondered what you meant when you said it was the readers digest copy and of course, after reading the story, I understood the need for a short delivery in this instance.

However, as a longer story, this one is definitely worth exploiting. There are lots of avenues it could take, like Frank using it to gain entrance to the US gold reserve and...Sorry...running away with myself here.

Anyway, well done. This is a great contender for the Zpegs contest.

And the cover...fantastic. How'd you do that reflection? And i love the gold.
