You have portrayed you father with such fondness. Telling about what a hard worker he was. So many didn't know about the safety issues involved with their jobs. The up and downs of life compared to the merry- goround (carousel). How we all try for that brass ring, just beyond our reach. Serena

I wish I could write poetry. I try sometimes but it doesn't work like writing books for me that is. I loved it : )

This is a moving and touching tribute to your father. I love the way you interwove moments of his life with a carousel of horses.

Such a bittersweet comparison. Like the sad faced clowns watching the riders enjoy the ride. I also liked the that the carousel keeps going around with different riders. This is so different from your other writings. You prove to be multi-layered Laz. Robynn

Yes, this has a definite poetic ring to it. The analogy you made was so well stated. Works from so deep in the heart are the finest. congratulations. Possibly your best yet.

Thanks...It's based on a true story about my dad.

Laz, the stern and penetrating look in the BookRix photo above, belies the gentle poetic soul that lives inside. Yes life's like a carousel. Round and round we go. Nice tribute to your dad. The impressions our dads leave, for better or worse, last us a lifetime
Beautiful!
