I must admit first of all that I don't know the first thing about poetry of any kind, so i'm not sure how much sway my opinion will hold! For what it is worth, i enjoyed reading your work and wish you luck in the contest.
My favourite was 'Sea of Gloom'. Very pretty. Definitely worth a star.

I like this book a lot - I thought manic/depressive in one and then you go and tell me bi-polar. The angst in the betrayal poems was felt.

Koyel - everyone of these Poems is a Gem. They are elegantly strcutured and in some cases excellent rhyme. The content of each poem is very good and they are lovely to recite - which is the essence of a good poem. JOHN

I believe great poetry is one written from the heart and one that moves their readers. I enjoyed seeing the variety of poems and how you share the world through your eyes. I am no expert in poetry, therefore, take in any insightful advice from others and apply it. I like to write poetry once and awhile, but I've learn there's, whew!, many styles and forms of poetry. Because I would never publish poetry, to me there's only one that exist, my style which comes from the heart. LOL. But I see that you have talent in poetry and if you learn all that you can, you can become a great poet. Good luck and best wishes.

I feel that you have a lot of passion. I can sense a wide range of emotions throughout your book. I would like to really "feel" what you are trying to get across (some of your poems I just didn't get that). I want to be able to get pulled into the emotion of your writing. Most of the poems I could do that, but there are some that are lacking in that area. Try to be more consistant.
With that said, I really like your style/word choices. You have a brilliant mind and I look forward to seeing more from you. :)

A few minor grammatical errors don't take away from the depth of the hurt of lost love sprinkled with glimmers of hope for the future. Interesting changes in style and mood kept me engaged.

The book of poetry has a great mixture of style and form. The author has done a good job on this one. I would reccomend this to others to read.
