Whoever has been there, felt these emotions knows exactly how the writer feels. If you haven't, here is your chance to learn what it is like to be a monther. It's very tender and well-written in the present tense.

The recognition and calming of your son, and your own recognition, that these moments pass by so fast, is portrayed very nicely in this book.
I'm looking forward to more of your writing. Maybe something a little longer next time...something to sink our teeth into and savor.

I think your writing has great potential. You've concentrated on a moment in time and showed us up close the movements and thoughts that can go through a mother's head when woken during the night by her baby. Your description was artful and I fell into sync with your tone, which held steady.

A book should have a beginning, middle and end. Even a short story. I felt a little cheated at the close of the book, though you did have a closing line. Though it caused me to reassess what the story was about, I think I had been thinking what is going to happen even up to the last line and then realigned my thinking at the close to accept that teh story was about your thought processes whilst going to get your baby.

I would like to see more of your work.
