How can I say this without hurting your feelings, The picture on the front of the book makes my eyes go crossed, But the poems are beautiful.

I do love your poetry, and actually the cover picture is very appropriate, for the book.

I love optical illusions too.

I especially liked the last poem. I could just picture it in my minds eye.

By the way, I have heard it said that only real men can wear pink and get away with it. And it was my wife that turned my underwear pink, not me.

Review - Whoa! Absolutely loved the visuals this poem elicitated. "Etched hard" and "sheet of sky" were excellent. It had a visceral feel to it and detailed well a heart demolished by love. It flowed beautifully.

Now I'm going to do something I rarely do. I love this poem, but just a humble suggestion. Remember, this is your art work, not mine. This is free advice, meaning you can take it or leave it. You had such gorgeous mind pictures flowing and then you abruptly end with a statement about winter. That works, but with your talented hand at prose, I would have extended it a line with a description of winter, or the wintry place you ended up at. But.....JMO.

It works either way. I would suggest you enter this into a poetry contest. Find "Poems and Writers". It is a magazine and they have a online site you can access. They are constantly listing competitions.

A really nice foray into poetry. There's some great imagery in these, especially the second, the language of which manages to convey a sense of staggering motion that fits it perfectly.

This was great, you should do poetry more often :) I especially loved the last line of the first poem. It was lyrical, left me guessing yet gave me a sense of closure. I'm glad you didn't end it any other way.
