Hey, sorry I didn't answer that yet. I got it just as I was going through the complex and intensive process of submitting one of my books for publication, and by the time I got that done, I'd forgotten that I needed to get back to you on this. My apologies.

We used to have books like that here, but the admins stopped formatting them for us when they switched to a more Facebook-like format. The biggest difference between what they did and what you're proposing, though, is the division into chapters. Before, each of those collaborative books were separate, specific topics. I like your idea, but caution you to be careful to monitor submissions to keep this from being a variation on the sometimes acrimonious kinds of exchanges you see on FB. After all, this is a site that's supposed to be dedicated to helping writers, not a site for personal airing of opinions and thoughts on everyone's business.

If, however, your topics are based on the art of writing, on improving one's skill and craft, then count me in. Everyone has different ideas on how to write, how to be inspired, how to express ideas in story form, etc. So this could be a wonderful effort (and no doubt humorous at times) that includes all those varying points of view from the members.

Hope that answered your question; the short version of all that is yes, I'd love to join, as long as it's about writing, and not a place to complain, accuse, and otherwise get inappropriately nosey and nasty, if you know what I mean. I believe you have the insight and intelligence to make this a great effort, one that can honestly help us on our journey as writers.

Hello Ma'am, sorry I was away for weeks, I was thinking what you said about this huge collaboration that I am doing, and I have come to conclusion that I will go through what you said. To be honest, I had something else in my mind but when I saw the number of users joining my project, I got nervous and started having second thoughts about this all.

But now I am confident about this and looking forward to, just one thing left, you!..... I would love and it will be an honor to have you in this book, so what do you think? :)

Please don't ever stop writing. Telling stories, even if no one but you and maybe some friends and family ever read or hear them, is a great way to express things we need to say but can only allow ourselves to admit in the third person. They're also like a mini-vacation. Being a writer doesn't mean everything you put down has to be a Pulitzer prizer-winner. All it has to be is a story that means something to the writer. You have a gift when it comes to expressing the beautiful simplicity of life's realities, and I hope you can use this as a means to feeling better, rather than risk feeling worse for not having written.

I like the new name you're using - it has character and history in it. Good choice! Take extraordinarily good care of your heart, my friend. You're the best. ')

Okay, first, thank you for replying.

It's my father, he doesn't know that I am using BookRix, I am here behind his back....he doesn't want me here, he thinks that every site that has chatting to it, is a bad site.

He says that every chatting site are full of bad people and I will bring trouble if chat with people online......how can I convince him that BookRix Chatting is no threat?

Maybe copy/paste the site's information - at the bottom of every page there are links. Under "About BookRix" you'll find a Help & Support link which should reassure him that people serious about writing are in charge. Also, there's the "BookRix Code of Conduct" link which will show him that this site is not (or shouldn't be) anything like Facebook. Also, copy/paste the "eBook Publishing/Self Publishing" link.

Put all of this into a document for him and either print it out or email it to him so he can see what the site is for. It's not "ChatRix," after all, lol. And while too many of the newer members are misusing the site and making it all about them and their drama, and not even posting books, they usually don't last here - they either get ignored, reprimanded, or kicked off.

We're an author website designed for those who not only enjoy reading, but writing. And when a new person realizes that the books available here aren't the mainstream stuff, but books written by members, they usually figure out that his isn't the typical website at all.

He can contact me if he wants. I'm a published author who makes money from what I do, so I'm not some kid looking for a chat room. I'd be happy to explain the site to him and how serious it is.
