It's a true life novel where the dreams would never be successful for the poor people ,describing such vivid characters of the life , a novel with times of despair and moments of triumph,because to be a winner in life is a triumph...describing what art is like in those conditions...excellent written ,Joe ,lovely to read..Mari

Joe, the characters you have created are
so real in today's society that any one of your readers can identify with them.
I for one, would have liked to read the
outome of their plights in life. All in all, a nice book to read.

You've set up an excellent scenario and loaded in different people. My main concern is how might you develop each character more? How to avoid repetition in the spoken , written word , thoughts and ideas? Six people who are into 'failing well' tend to share the highs and lows of life. like depression, and debt. But this is only the introduction so there is more to follow.

I love how they were all tied together by the diner and that $.50 cup of joe!!! We really have no idea just how many people we are connected to just because of where we might regular.

Wonderful writing, almost perfect. Interesting enough to make a reader want to read it. Very impressive but, then, Parente impressed me in his other stories before...
Good luck, Joe, another very fine job... and my vote, one hundred percent.

Interesting premise and characters. I also liked how you linked some of those different personalities in the last pages. Would love to know how everyone's lives will be connected :)
