You are already, in my view, an accomplished poet; you will know yourself that some poems are more successful than others, but your poetic vision is clear in all of them. I enjoyed especially: A Snapshot, Who?, Little Murder Ditty, and The Pudding.

its something that should be published for everyone else to see it was very colorful with words. if it were published, it would be a best-seller

My one inflexible rule for writing poetry is to show it, never tell it. You do a very good job of this. I especially like Siam Husk.

Enjoyed this collection very much - your placement of words on the page evoke images as well - page 8 a 'hand held' mirror emerges. your cover is great - be it a self portrait, portrait, or picked from a pile - your works pulls together - voted and saved....Paula

Hello Jamie,
I'm just learning some things about the site, so you'll have two posts listed above.

I liked your images and some of your slant rhymes. Keep writing.

I'll try to vote for you. Please read my book, My Reflections.

Hi Jamie,

You've got my star and my vote. You have a gift. You can turn your private thoughts, experiences, and observations into a universal message. Any one can relate to your writing. Not easy to do! My favorites, particularly for that reason, are: "A Memory" "Who?" "Little Murder Ditty" (exceptional work) and "Immaterial: 5 am pt 2"

Keep up the good work!

Carmen

Yeah I know, I thought about that too, but it said in the contest blurb "at least the first one should be about winter, the rest can be about other topics", and I wanted to enter enough to just do it, so I did! Never mind.

you're developing an original lyrical voice. i especially liked "Goodnight Stars," "Fall," "Who?," and "Self-Reflection" I like your use of off or slant rhymes; do avoid the temptation of too easy rhymes (unless you think you've earned them and they work rhetorically).

You have written well. Yet, poems do not reflect what the contest topic demands. Except for one poem, all the other poems talk varied topics.
