I've done a few 'Death by' stories myself, so you can understand my inquisitiveness.

There's nothing better than a piece of flash fiction that blows you away. Always, there is a kind of doubt at the onset that something so tragic couldn't possible be delivered in such a short word count.

At the beginning, in your opening, I got a feeling of emptiness at the lack of emotion. Too clinical, I thought, and I was ready to scribble some notes to say, try this...go deeper with the hurt and the pain...

But then I reached the end and of course I realised you were taking me on a journey of empty feelings and nothingness, which often happens when one is shocked be a tragic event.

Yes, it's real-life stuff, to feel numb like that, and that's all well and good, but you've still got to deliver an impact to the reader, along with a satisfying conclusion of the story.

A satisfying conclusion you gave us, indeed.
A wonderful unexpected finale, which left me taking stock of the story as a whole rather than para by para. Excellent.
